At least the Two Collonels died for thier Children, thier sacrifice shall be remembered. Rest in Peace Collonel Miller and Collonel Khlebnikov, find rest "Father's in Arms"
If humans of Metro's world had cooperated one another without interhuman' battle, they would have rebuilt their new country on the ground even though the place is full of creepy monsters. But those people have fought against each other to useless ideology, therefore, they couldn't make strong humans' organization against monsters' challenge. So Artyom's bravest adventure became a legendary story to the people of Metro. This DLC's story was so awesome. It's never let me down via the whole storyline.
its crazy man humans are a weird type of colony.. but you never know its always the movies or fiction that shows us after war we turn into beasts but look, after ww2 we have become better or you can also say during ww2.. i def think humanity will come together when something like this occurs (hopefully not)
Or they end up like Novosbirsk. Fighting one another to the death over dwindling resources. The outer area is still dangerous and kills people, it's just that with a train and masks you can leave Moscow and settle the surface.
I do agree but you miss the one valid point that the "Invisible watchers" (gov remnant) had. if they didn't luck out and couldn't resettle the surface. they could have exhausted what dwindling resources they had. they allowed these factions to fight each other to cull the population while trying to be a strong intermediary to stop the conflicts when they wished. they could run out of food faster than it would take the population to decrease without bloodshed. The logic was by allowing for multiple factions there is no clear person to blame for a crisis, and no faction was powerful enough to cause too much carnage. The metro where only the boy survives had the problem that there was one united body and one group to point all the blame at which led to a bloody civil war engulfing the whole population at once. I just hope that if the next game has us going back to save people, that at least some members of Hansa and the other groups are willing help and give up the charade. Not all of them though, still need "villains" to shot or ko :P
Captain John Price I mean everyone had a soviet mentality but the reds are like the Stalin era mentality where they kill everyone who even has a different idea or opinion, while most others are like the later soviet lead era.
@@lordmasterization the Final War happened in 2013, and the fact everywhere in Metro games there's Soviet remnants is a thing developers themselves told interviewers was "way more fun for us to recreate". Dissolution of the Union still happened in Metro, and Russia that got bombed wasn't Soviet Russia, but recreating that old Soviet feel and look was simply way easier and fun for the developers. They're from Ukraine after all. They all remember the old Soviet style and look, because most of them grew up during the Union's days.
@@SPECTR_Eternal The days of the USSR are still quite fresh in the cultural memory in that part of the world form what I have seen in my readings and travels.
This game gives post-apocalyptic games a new vibe and perspective. I played all the Metro games from 2033 to now (DLC haven't yet), but it presents a great way to experience the dangers of the world and the human factor in these situations. And how the game evolved through the years gives e hope for future Metro games and perhaps new games with this kind of genre.
When I watched the playing of this DLS, I shed one tear, but when I went through it after the full passage of the main story, I sobbed at the moment when Khlebnikov went to the satellite center, because I realized that he wouldn’t return. But he saved his son. As well as Miller. And at the end, I wept too. And at the end of a good ending, Metro Exodus.
I just love Metro franchise so much. The atmosphere cannot be duplicated by anyone. All other games fail in comparison to Metro. Sometimes gameplay and graphics suck, or just plain bad. But characters and the world is amazing
The sad fact about Petrovitch is that no matter what choice you make with him his fate would still result in his death either way. Even if you choose to not take his green stuff supply, chances of him surviving after the war seem to be little to none. Either the poisonous gas has killed him or he died from mutants that overran the stations after the war. Cuz as far as I can tell, we don’t hear of him or his grand daughter again after the war.
yes but the fact that we don't see him gives a small glimpse of hope. He could've found another way out, and if you let him keep his medicine it means he has enough to get out with his granddaughter. It's open ended, so to say.
@@kolavadae4592 honestly, I fail to see a problem with the length, the ones in Last Light were just as short, the only difference is that it was less focused on story and more on action. Spider Lair for example, it's filled with action but there's no story to it, it's just 3 stalkers that found an old silo but each ends up dying to different reasons. (Pretty sure the one the player play as dies on the surface, no way he can run from all those mutants)
As a huge fan of the metro games I have to say that all 3 were so good I enjoyed the quiet and darkness in the metros especially with mutants roaming around but then the characters were well made especially miller he was proven as a true Spartan using his green stuff on Arytom but as well would do anything for Anna I'm still very sad about his death but it was his decision. But with this dlc I enjoyed the origins of this the colonel was a great character to introduce and I hope they make more metro games
1:20:15 if you just want to listen to the amazing credits music. They need to release it officially. I haven't found anyone who's ripped it from the game files.
I don’t want to risk it, imagine Hanza, Reich and Red Line knowing of the outside world being habitable outside of Moscow, they would go nuts, and attempt to conquer land
By the end Miller realised that just because Artyom was ready to die for the truth, it did not mean he did not value Anna's love and the possible future he could've had with her. He was ready to die so the future of his love and children was better than the people of the Metro and for the he had to pursue the Truth. His stubbornness for a better life rubbed on everyone around him. And so the message that I manage to derive from this DLC (or the game entirely) is that there is no greater duty in life than to make the world better for our children than it was for us.
Just thinking, when a solder find the map that would save their entire metro but die to radiation and the Command just say: "Yeah,The mission failed. Fuck that place! Imma hoard all the green stuff for myself and the bois "
probably when they took the rest at the safehouse. resuply, maintain, eat, and rest takes a good amount of time enough time to tell an abreved version of what happened to the colony and his father plus where his body should be.
I am not sure what kind of answer you are looking for. Green dots are just a visual effect, it represents a radiation area or effect, the closer you get to radiation source the denser they become, green dots stick for a while after you leave and slowly disperse. They exist for the sake of immersion, to make you aware that you are being exposed to radiation, also the sound they produce comes from geiger counter, it's attached to their bracer.
the excursion of artuom outside of the metro lead to so many failed potential powers, yet artyom never did that in the metro. artyom brought those people back to the drawing board and considering the next power regime will not likely be better then the last its a real shame, maybe if they cared enough to implant a new regime more then one lone figure
The Flamethrower ain't a brand new weapon!! It can be used in Metro Last Light. The DLC looks good, but there's no point in playing it when you already know how its gonna be een befroe you play it.
All cutscenes? you mean you put the whole expansion on youtube because that is what this expansion is. Nothing but cutscenes, it occasionally lets you play. It's super boring. Real shame because I love all the metro's that came before this 'expansion'
