METROID DREAD
Join bounty hunter Samus Aran as she tries to escape a deadly alien world plagued by a mechanical menace. Upon investigating a mysterious transmission on Planet ZDR, Samus faces a mysterious foe that traps her in this dangerous world. The remote planet has been overrun by vicious alien lifeforms and murderous robots called E.M.M.I. Hunt or be hunted as you make your way through a labyrinth of enemies in Samus’ most intense side-scrolling adventure yet. Samus is more agile and capable than ever. Guide Samus Aran, an intergalactic bounty hunter raised by an ancient tribe, and traverse the many environments of a dangerous world. Parkour over obstacles, slide through tight spaces, counter enemies, and battle your way through the planet. Through her countless missions, Samus has never experienced a threat like the dread of ZDR. Power up and find more ways to explore and secrets to uncover. Gain abilities and return to previous areas to find new areas and hidden upgrades in classic Metroid gameplay. Planet ZDR’s sprawling map is home to many secrets to discover and powers to find. You’ll need to be prepared to evade and destroy E.M.M.I. robots and overcome the dread plaguing ZDR.

Game: "The EMMIs will hear you, don't make too much noise". Every youtuber: runs around, shoots, makes as much noise as humanly possible. I think there's a requirement to never read or understand what you're reading when it comes to being a youtuber.

I remembered that you could parry at the right moment when the light flashes and stun the E.M.M.I and slide under it the entire video I’m sure I wasn’t the only one but it boggles my mind how it’s said directly to people and they don’t remember it. But I think he was more focused on playing the game and commentary

@@isquack4592 To be fair, though, it is EXTREMELY difficult to parry an E.M.M.I.. The timing is very tiny, so even if you know you can parry them, good freaking luck actually doing so! -_-

Gotta love how what Samus does in the cutscene battle with Raven Beak hits to what to do during the actual fight, I.e. ducking the red blast only to follow with a counter, the missiles actually damaging him, etc.

@@sadsandwich_5 No, if you dont deal enough damage in one "cycle" then it turns gold and nullifies all damage, meaning you need to do a counter sequence so his shield drops and you can damage him

This play through reminds me of the first time I played the demo, I was struggling to get used to the controls after being used to Metroid Fusion. But once I got the hang of it, it felt so smooth, the free fire aim is very nice.

I'm really enjoying it also. It just arrived in the post today, I expected it yesterday as I pre-ordered but it must have been running late, I'm only about the same point as the end of this video so far.. it is all the things you say, even though early stages it seems perfect as in.. at least from my perspective it's like you can't go too far off track, if you get stumped you just keep going and eventually you'll be back on track again.. a few times I was like 'where the hell am I' and then just kept at it and seemed like I was continuing correctly.. while there's no hand holding and it is a bit challenging, it's not too extreme to the point of being annoying plus it seems designed like you'll continue along your journey without getting stuck even though the map is big, seems well thought out, some metroidvanias I found to be a complete utter confusing maze (like Hollow Knight) I feel this one is more to my tastes.. like, yes you can go the wrong way, but you'll loop around again and realise and then you'll figure out 'well it has to be this other way'.. if that makes sense. I'm hoping it continues that way. Plays really nicely. Well pleased with it so far.
