@@BandedHylian imagine an official randomized with a feature that can automatically bring you back to the starting room so you don’t get soft locked. I could actually see that working!
getting shinespark and morph ball that early is actually insane luck also getting softlocked on blue emmi to only have him drop 2+ missle is just cyber bullying at this point
I just finished playing through Dread for the second time and I'm now doing Dread mode. This is such a cool way to play the game! Really awesome video :)
@BandedHylian if you do that I'm betting that the space jump is gonna be swaped into the E tank shinespark puzzle at the top of the furnace room in Artaria or some god awful spot like that that puzzle is pure pain in dread mode
As far as I know, run through the cold is never in logic, but then I also thought the water would disappear in that one place on rando, and don't know anything about being able to release the X early without actually going there.
Did you know, if timed right, you have 2 chances to counter an EMMI. The first we all know before it grabs you, and the second, right before it stabs you, if you counter it, Samus kicks the EMMI off of her.
The fact that you got stuck at the beginning in the emmi « boss » zone (the little brain robot) because you didn’t know you could break the fire rings for missiles (with dash attack)
you should give Multiworlds a shot with other people - I play dread randomised with similar settings almost daily because of that and its super fun and hilarious
*Randomizer:* You know what this guy needs? More missiles. All jokes aside, this kind of thing IS kind of the unfortunate consequence of 1/3 of the game's collectables being scattered missile tanks. It IS funny though.
at, 5:14 i'm pretty sure that you can use the melee counter on the red rings and they'd drop missiles and energy, making that situation completely doable
@BandedHylian I feel the same, but I also feel that it was whiplashing me when it comes so soon. I enjoyed the video and what great luck finding the screw attack so early. Didn't watch the vod, but did you use the warp function when you got softlocked? Because I didn't hear you talk about it on the video.
@op_t1c989 could definitely try to ease into it more in future videos or go back and forth between dubs and full facecams. I actually didn't know about that feature for a ways into the run lol I don't recall if we actually ended up using it, but I don't think so. I think we just loaded last save.
