Not gonna lie, I was certain this was fake, since I didn’t think Metroid ever officially used the term “shinespark.” But fandom confirms that it’s legit.
@@Lover117-v6l you can do it the simple way by adding horizontal momentum to ice missiles instead of getting the diffusion upgrade Then view it yourself, hell the fact that they say this is in the speedruns that arent using memory corruption. Look it up
There is a way to cheese it, basically at those things that require diffusion missile you can kinda angle missile down and get it to hit the bottom puffer fish thing before it expands.
@@darth_hylian it was nice, although I didn't like the linear style and it felt a bit repetitive talking with the A.I, I'd love to play it, but i don't have the money now to buy a switch, maybe next year.
@@arkham9500 if you can, be sure to check the other 2d games, they're much less linear and you don't have an ai controlling your every movement, zero mission would be a good place to start
I saw this message for the first time myself last week! But I used the ice missile jumping trick to get through the puffer fish :P Couldn't get back though, had to reset save state :')
It’s almost impossible to pull off. You have to be frame perfect to do it right. You can do it after defeating Nightmare but before getting diffusion missiles, or after defeating B.O.X second form but before going through the restricted zone.
I saw this, but I was using cheat codes to sequence break (inf shinespark code). The worst thing about it? This game really prevents sequence breaking and even seeing this message legit or otherwise, you are forced to go back and do it the right way!
I haven't played Other M, but out of the other games I'd have to say Fusion is by far the most linear, and the way they force you to play it that way is pretty heavy handed
If you Shinespark against a slope, Samus will start running again. You can use that time to crouch and set up another Shinespark. That means you can Shinespark infinitely as long as there are enough slopes on the way and you can time them correctly.
