This is a 11.5 minute improvement over my previously uploaded run; there's some additional new tricks added, but most of the time saved comes from this not being my second attempt at this route. :P Still a lot of room for improvement, but I really need to take a break from this.
Some of the major tricks used in this run:
Early Elysia - The method used here is to solve the statue in Main Docking Access without Hyper Ball. It's pretty complicated to explain, but the very very basic explanation is that by getting there from out of bounds you can unmorph while inside the statue, and then instead of killing all nine phazon blobs, you kill one single phazon blob nine times. Later on it's also required to wallcrawl past another Hyper Ball gate before East Elysia. Skips Ice Missiles, Main Ship Missiles (replaced with an expansion), and Hyper Ball.
Early Spire - After the Spire sequence, you're sent to Escape Pod Bay. By going waaaay out of bounds in Escape Pod Bay, you can find and transition the dock that connects the two rooms the other way, and get to Spire early. Skips Ship Grapple and building the Theronian Bomb.
Hazard Shield Skip - You can just stand in the corner near the barrier in Command Courtyard and deactivate the gate without the acid rain touching you lol. Technically Hazard Shield isn't completely skipped, as the game gives it to you when your suit is further corrupted after Omega Ridley.
Spider Skip - Getting out of bounds in Defense Access by getting back up the tunnel that lead from Skyway Access, and wallcrawling up the room to get past the Spider track; this is the only Spider Ball requirement that isn't otherwise skipped anyway. Requires reloading the room first after arriving from Skyway Access, as the trigger that pushes you out of the tunnel will still be there otherwise.
Nova Wallcrawl - Going out of bounds in the Pirate Mines and wallcrawling to Nova, skipping the long pirate fight. You're stuck afterward so you have to die to get out; when I collect Nova, the current room is set on Drill Shaft 2, so the checkpoint will respawn me there instead of Main Cavern. The community decided to allow deathwarps such as this in single segment runs.
Demolition Wallcrawl - Going out of bounds through the Demolition Trooper sequence at the end of Pirate Homeworld. In addition to being faster than going in-bounds, it skips having to disable the pirate's defense.
Energy Cell Skip - You can skip two Energy Cells on the Valhalla by screw attacking against the top ledge in Aurora Chamber.
Phaaze Wallcrawl - Going out of bounds through Phaaze. The first half of the wallcrawl is required anyway due to not having Hyper Ball, but regardless it's faster to wallcrawl past the entire thing up to the final bosses.
Done on the original North American NTSC version. The exact in-game time of this run taken from the save file is 1:46:52.600
