Exactly. If you already don't know about those spoilers, it is because you purposely avoided any kind of information about the game. Then, why watch this video? If you watch videos about a video game, always expect those videos to contain spoilers
You would watch this video because it's an advertisement for a game that you are interested in buying. Something like this should not have spoilers of the final boss in it.
So Metroid 1 was remade into Zero Mission, and Metroid 2 was remade into Samus Returns. Could this mean we might receive Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion remakes?
Man, by now, if you are interested in Metroid, you HAVE been spoiled 1000 times OR you dont watch Metroid videos at all. Of course, I'm the first case.
It does, totally. The question is, which game? Metroid Prime 4? Metroid Samus return 2? Super Metroid remake? Smash Bros (because of the "all heroes" stuff).?
Metroid: Samus Returns was a great swan song for the 3DS, but it's time to put her out to pasture. The Switch is the future and it's here. My body is ready for Metroid Prime 4.
"why's everyone saying there's a final boss spoiler? I've played the original Metroid 2, everyone knows the queen Metroid is the final boss. yeah, nothing new in this vide- oh. wait. that wasn't in the original. what are they- oh. so that's the final boss." sooooo, yeah
How about remove the lock on Amiibo-locked content, ja? Could make it so the players MUST do 100% playthroughs in all difficulties to unlock literally everything.
Ikr, they could of just added loot boxes like everyone else and hope you get the gallery you wanted and also the extra hard fusion difficulty...........
Less than a year? So...Prime 1, 2, Hunters, 3, and presumably 4 happened all in less than a year? What a nightmare is Samus life? Does she ever do anything beside eradicate alien species during the week?
Well technically she only technically eradicated two through Primes 1-3 and Hunters (and one of those "species" existed throughout the entire Prime trilogy).
The Catman and friends you forgot fed force after prime cause Samus is still doing stuff in fed force you just don't see it because you're playing as the Fedaration.
I never played FF to begin with. Not because I was on the hate vagon (I took it as a spin off and was glad it obviously meant a return of the series, and I apparently was right), but because I never had a 3DS, so I simply forgot about that detail. Thanks, anyway. I hope to play both SR and FF on some kind of re-releases in future
For those arguing about time...time does not exist in the vacuum of space. Time is releveant to planets. Where the sun rises and sets each day, where the planets orbit a star in their system. That is how people count the passing of time: days, months, years. To someone like Ssmus, who wanders space for long periods, time isn't easily kept track of. A year on earth isn't the same amount of days on another planet. Samus herself references this in the opening of other m. While wandering space and recounting what happened in super Metroid she says: "I don't know how much time has passed." She probably makes note of the date she leaves federation HQ and the date she returns to report to keep track of how much time passed.
Also, for those arguing about the supposed inconsistency about the federation knowing Samus excels at searching alien worlds. It's not really an inconsistency. Samus was once a member of the federation military. Then she left. It's been stated that zero mission is the mission that made Samus so famous/legendary in her game universe. It was like her first big mission. There's the implication that she had done other missions especially while she was a member of the federation but zero mission was the event that simply made her super famous.
I want this game so bad, but I can’t play it because I don’t have a 3DS, and this is one of only 3 games I would ever get for the 3DS... And I want to get a Switch....
wouldn't have been over a year? Metroid Prime takes place immediately after the original. Metroid Prime 2 takes place 6 months. 3 takes place about 6 months after that. seems like several years would have taken place.
Jason Motsinger where does it say Metroid prime 2 took place 6 Months after prime? I know Metroid prime 3 took place 6 Months after prime 2 because of the manual but it didn't say that about prime 2min the manual.
It's a shame that already this game has had a price drop of $20 in North America *before* Christmas... So much for Samus' big come back. Sigh, if only Japanese fans would help pick up the sales. There would be more hope for advancing the 2D and 2.5D series. I sort of blame the 3DS one this game didn't need 3D of all things and the controllers would be much better on the Switch. At least we got a reamake of this game, almost the entire library of gameboy Color games need a remake as they all look like trash. In any case let's hope that sales pick up during the holidays as this game is, well, selling like a like Metroid game in Japan...
So u wanted this game to come out for a system that has a user base that is nowhere near as big as the 3DS!? Gee thanks for wanting the series to fail even harder!
Monarchsub X 3DS is at the end of it's life cycle. So Switch would have been a better contender. Keep in mind that 3DS or Switch this game wasn't going to make much to any profit anyway, especially releasing so close to major hits...
It's interesting that they are still doing advertising for the game. I wonder why? I wonder what the current sales numbers are for it. I wonder if they're not satisified with the current sales numbers, or if they are trying to re-garner interest in the game for the holidays.
Jay Nukem I say it's a plan for the holidays if things like this are metroid samus returns ads children would go like "mommy mommy I want metroid it has this bounty hunter called samus and she kills Pokemon things called metroids can I have it!? Pretty pretty please?" then the mother will be like "maybe if your very good Santa will get it for you" but then again we have Pokemon ultra sun and ultra moon...
I guess for the holidays...and I really like that they are promoting it that much, even after release! It's so great to see Metroid videos here and there, even if only for further promotion. For years there was just nothing at all...
Huh. You know, I think this is the first time I've heard Samus' last name pronounced. Rather, it's probably been said plenty of times before, but this simply could be the first time I've actually PAID ATTENTION to it, ha ha!
So less than a year passes between Zero Mission and Samus Returns. How do we possibly fit Prime 1, Hunters, 2, and 3 into that time frame? Easy- Samus was working overtime and was just THAT good. She cleared up everything from Prime without any days off or breaks in less than a year. Hey, makes more sense than trying to hammer Prime in logically, and it's better than pretending nothing in Prime was canon like Nintendo did.
"Less than a year has passed since Metroid 1." The timeline for these games is ridiculous. They take place within, like, a week of each other. Does Samus fight evil every time she gets out of bed in the morning?
Gerardo Uribe that would also be one, but why would it be referenced on a Metroid video? And the ”heroes” is written in the same font as Prime 4’s ”4”.
Apparently "summoning all heroes" also shows up in other nintendo videos. It cant be specifically metroid related, it would have to be something that involves a large group of nintendo franchises. Seems to be likely that its smash bros, but you never know.
nintendo... imagine you give us super metroid remake for switch. with 2d/3d graphics. like samus returns... by the way. when was the funeral of f-zero? im sorry that i missed it :(
I find it confusing that the speaker says in the beginning that "less than a year has passed" between Metroid and Metroid II, despite the fact that lore within Samus Returns indirectly references the Prime games by stating that the Alpha stage the Metroid's first true evolution, as opposed to its radiation-induced ones. The Prime games had months between them, and they took place after Metroid but before Metroid II, yet this data log says that it's been less than a year. Is this a contradiction? Is Prime alluded to as 'not canon' with this data log, or is it perhaps that I've failed to understand something? Can the Prime Trilogy, plus Hunters, fit within a year's time? I would have to go back and research this during my spare time.
Hey japanese Nintendo execs, I know you're kinda weirdos but please believe us Metroid has to be supported and produced by Nintendo / Retro, please never ever handle it to anyone outside that circle again
"Almost like she was meant to find them." OR, the Chozo created the Metroids, they left stuff there, and they don't want Samus to kill the Metroids, lest the parasites they prey on take over the universe.
Are you...are you serious? It's a Metroid 2 remake. He's not in Metroid 2. *HIM EXISTING AT ALL IS A SPOILER.* It's MEANT to be a surprise for fans, regardless of where he is!
UltimaKeyMaster If it's a surprise for fans, then there is no problem - every fan was starving for years and bought the game already by now. ;) Really, if I don't want any spoilers to a game I'm interested I don't watch trailers...it's simple as that! Haven't gotten Mario Odyssey yet, and haven't watched a trailer in months therefor.
This was my first Metroid and I went out of my way to play it. A non metroid fan. If you really wanted to play it and not be worried about spoilers.. I think you should have played it before now.
correllroy™|「HD at its BEST」 There was a GIANT spoiler at the end of the video. Nintendo wouldn’t want to ruin the fun for people that haven’t played the game yet. So it’s unlisted.
Anyone complaining about spoilers or this video being unlisted....well, spoiler warnings would of been nice, but this video IS unlisted. Fantastic vid!!
Everybody is complaining about final boss spoilers, yet they're the ones spoiling that it's the final boss. I wouldn't have been able to tell unless you told me lol
