The car in the music video is a 1985 Honda Accord Hatchback (European version). The license plate "B149CGN" shows up on the official gov.uk MOT check website as last registered in 2008 (the same year as this music video). Unfortunately, that probably means it was scrapped by the production company after its use for filming.

The synth melody is ridiculously catchy. Great tune.

I understand what you mean but I don't listen to nearly enough of this type of music for it to grow on me. I think minimalism can still be achieved with a singer that has a naturally nice voice.
