These guys always did and always will make amazing music, but this may be their greatest song and greatest video. It’s kind of a silly statement, I know, but it’s just that special. I like to play a game called “bigger than the band”, for some of my most beloved bands/artists, and this is my call on Metronomy. I just love the idea of one track being so special that it transcends a whole catalogue. They change of course as it’s kinda a silly game in some sense, but try it, it helps you to elevate that one track onto another plain. It’s not always the most obvious choice either. But it’s usually a track you’d rate in their top 10 that feels like it can sit apart from everything else.
