Joseph Mount and friends described the song as "about a guy who sees a girl in a club." Knowing the club scene and how much guys creep on women in that place (it works the other way too) I love this song for it.

@swapacoinforafish That's Gabriel Stebbing, their former bassplayer/synthguy/... He left Metronomy because he wanted to focus on his other band called Your Twenties. He is still good friends with Metronomy, he often shows up at their gigs.
