Australia is my country of choice when l migrated 45 years ago and still cry listening to this. I am so proud to be Australian and love love this song.

Originally from New Zealand but grew up in Queensland, Australia. He made a name for himself in Australia first as a country and western singer and then went to Nashville. He is very well known and often is a judge on things like America's Got Talent. He married Nicole Kidman and they have two daughters together. There were other stars there at the time like Bono but he wasn't involved in that because he is not Australian. Russell Crowe, like Keith, was born in New Zealand. Technically he is a Kiwi. However he considers himself more than Aussie because he has lived most of his life in Australia (when he wasn't in Hollywood) and he was married to an Australian and had Australian sons. He could not get citizenship unless he spent something like 8 months of each year in Australia and his work was taking him abroad too much, but definitely wanted to get Australian citizenship. He may have succeeded in more recent times. I don't know that for sure. I hope you do manage to get to Australia and see your nieces some day. It is a nice place to visit. Thankyou once again.

The opening with the amazing sound of the didgeridoo & the young choir boy singing in his native mother tongue are a wonderful introduction to a great summer land, Australia. All of the entertainers showed the quality of people we have here. If you do decide to visit Australia make time to travel around the whole continent including the centre & walk around Uluru also visit the wonderful island called Tasmania.

I have travelled overseas for a short time and enjoyed it immensely! But, I was homesick ( I was only gone 5 weeks plus 3 days) When we landed in Brisbane Qld I could have kissed the ground. I was so happy to be HOME! I’m a Proud Australian and I love our Country ❤️ This performance of our Aussie stars is moving and totally brilliant!

The guy that wrote the song, Peter Allen did a show called 'The Boy From OZ'... Hugh played him in the stageshow - you should check out some of the videos from that -' Not the boy next door ' and ' I go to Rio'. are two favourites.... he also wrote 'I honestly love you' which was done by Olivia Newton John and is part of the Boy From OZ soundtrack...you would probably know that one !

One of the best things about this performance was that only Hugh Jackman is Australian by birth. Yet they all love Australia deeply and spent their early years here. Nicole- born Hawaii to Australian parents raised here, Keith- New Zealand (NZ) Olivia-born Cambridge, England raised here, Russell Crowe ( rhymes with tow, bow, sow) NZ, wants citizenship here. Arrived here aged 4 returned for 2 years when aged 14-16 returning aged 21.
