Aww her grandpa is adorable! Also, massive bonus points for her pun about the Mexican ramen. I really like her a lot. I hope at some point she is comfortable being on camera so we can officially “meet” her
Yeah!! My man meeting the family and eating out with them. 🔥 That is a masterful plan. 🧐 Makes for some nice content as well. Good to see ya letting us see some of the interactions and the family. Miss you in Texas but love to see you doing good. ❤ Stay safe. 🙏❤
Your videos have been such a blessed distraction for me, Mikey. I lost my husband last week and your videos have been keeping me sane, even just playing in the background so it's not so quiet. Thank you.
You've met your future self, and the way he smiled he had my heart. The Mexican noodles is my next try looked super good. Stay safe and enjoy your life, as always your biggest fan from Arkansas 😉👍🏻
I cannot tell you how selfishly excited I am that Mike is back in the Midwest. Now I am so close to his recommendations so I can experience sooner than my food wishlist from his other videos. ☺
He’s discussed in other videos that he eats a lot healthier on the days he’s not filming food videos and he does work out too. Let’s try not throwing food disorders around like they’re jokes 😅
YOU & CHRISTINE ARE JUST TOO GREAT WITH EACH OTHER! LOVE YOUR INTERACTIONS THAT JUST SEEMS SO COMFORTABLE & CARING! HOPE ALL IS GOING WELL WITH YOUR RELATIONSHIP GROWING INTO SOMETHING OF A PERFECT ENDING! :)
While watching this, I was eating 2 packs of Jin ramen mild and a small bowl of squash and string beans in coconut cream over rice. I was so full after drinking 1/2 a liter of pepsi after the meal. I always watch Mikey and other food vloggers while eating to make my food more appetizing.

So many people may say this often, but the way that Mikey explains the details of the food is absolutely exquisite. . . I'm full and already starving. . . 🤤
As a Chicago-land Resident, I'm so happy to see recommendations from you for local restaurants to try. I will for sure check these places out, Mikey! Thanks for recommending these places!
"YOLO" Good for you Mikey!! Glad you went for it! I don't know where you found Christine but when she said "of course" to dessert- i knew you finally found your perfect "golden egg yolk" - ❤️❤️
Dark crusted pizza - the flavors it develops, pure heaven 😋 Nice to meet Christine's grandpa (he seems to be a nice guy!) and looks she got all the good eater genes from him 😄 And last, that lightning had to crack at 17:15 when Mike made the "sinister laught" for a better effect 🤣
@@MikeyChenX nah- you were just on form with the one liners- quality and amount lol ! Even I was about to remark and leave a comment about your one liners! It is very refreshing to come here and listen to good, fast wit let me tell you. *Epic* 🔥🔥🙌🥰
Always loved watching the videos.. Unfortunately since having cancer and radiotherapy, I have lost about 95% of my taste. I can only try and remember/ imagine how good these taste now.. keep up the great work!
@@rbtz07 Thx bud. But it's been nearly 2 yrs since radiotherapy and specialist say if not back by 1 yrs then stays as is. But good thing is I'm here! I can still smell how good food is.. lol
I'm so freaking excited and happy for you guys! I knew you'd find the one Man. I can't wait to see your new family food adventures! She's even punny she's perfect!
Your videos normally make me hungry but this has to be one of the best food videos you've made. Everything looked so good. I have to try that Mexican ramen.
I never realized that Pequod's has a second location. Looks like the one in the video is the one in Morton Grove. The address listed in the description is the main location, and not the one in the video. That said, Pequod's is one of my favorite pizza places in the world. Whenever I'm in Chicago and want a deep dish, I always go to Pequod's. The crust is just caramelized cheese, and is what really elevates the pizza. Every time I go, I also ask for sausage as one of the toppings, as I was told the sausage is from a house made recipe, and it goes well with any other toppings there.
The Morton Grove location is the original. It was opened by Burt Katz in 1970s. The Chicago location opened much later. BTW Burt sold Pequods and opened up Burt's Place later on. That's the deep dish that Anthony Bourdain ate. I was lucky enough to visit Burt's Place twice before he passed in 2016.
Wow! That looks delicious. 👍😋😊 That dessert looks awesome. 👀 A little shaved ice bear. The doughnut looked so good. Deep dish pizza....yummy! The burger looks great. I love ramen. Yum. 👍😊 Cute stuffed animal. Grandpa has a great appetite. Mexican noodles? That looks very good. Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊
Welcome Mikey and Christine to Chicago. So happy you found great eats here. I appreciate your Daruma restaurant episode. I’ve not been back for years, now will I have to go back there soon.
The taco and Mexican ramen looked delicious, but I started getting the meat sweats just looking at the meal! I can’t imagine so much food in a day! Love your videos!
I have never tried Mexican Ramen but it looks delicious and I am so happy for you her family and her seem like the perfect fit!! And she is beautiful 😍
that looks like the perfect deep dish! in between that ridiculous deep dish and thin. love how well done it is and alost looks like you could pick it up and the topping are on top, i hate when the meat is below as it never gets crispy!
I wish we had lots of Asian/Japanese supermarkets and food courts here in the UK, like over there in the States, but we don't. We just have very small family run Asian stores.. and they are limited on the stock and foods they carry. I really love the Ippudo, Ichiran, Taiwanese Uni-President, and Nissin 7premium instant ramen, and I have to order them off eBay, they're not cheap that way, plus I have to wait about 2 weeks for them to arrive from Japan.
After a long day at work, you open your phone and see Mikey Chen or Stricktly Dumpling RU-vid new video notification and smile forms on your face. What is a better way to relax and unwind with eating and watching Mikey Chen Strictly Dumpling vids?
I heard these youtubers take steroids or other unnatural supplements to increase their metabolism. Whatever abnormal umhuman like behaviour is often triggered by unnatural things they put in their body.
Hey Mikey, just wanted to point out that Birria is traditionally Goat meat and not beef. There are beef versions, but most of the time it's goat meat. Goat is absolutely delicious when done right, and honestly after trying it for the first time years ago, I really don't understand why it isn't more common over here in the states. Goat curry is one of my favorite dishes, and one of the best meats you can put in a curry!
Mike here feeding the family and winning Christine a stuffed animal. Christine here with the pun. I am not sure who won the video...Actually no Grandpa won for sure.
It's a Tapatio product, financed by Gomez Addams' family when he was killed in a Bull fight, which is why Morticia emblazoned his face on the bottle. Wonderful product, amazing family.
Great to see you around Chicago-based areas! A really good burger place I found out about this past summer is MAK's House in La Grange, so maybe give it a try if you'd like to, if you end up around that area.
Happy you're in my hometown! Great places you've chosen. If you have time or when you come back you should try SEAFOOD CITY! Filipino grocery store/ restaurant. Love your videos! Stay safe! xoxo
Maaaan I am hooked, you just got a new subscriber. So much great content, cheers from Texas, El Paso to be exact, Hopefully you make your way down here some day.
8:50 My strict rule when prices aren't shown: I walk away. I have money. But I despise trickery. No matter how much people rave about something, a shop, food truck, restaurant or kiosk, it A. Can give you the total and you don't realize you overpaid for some items; B. Horribly embarrasses you when you confront prices at payment time, maybe in front of friends or co-workers; and C. You may have already consumed something, so are forced to pay the overpriced amount. No. No sale.
So maybe the prices ARE fair. Maybe it's the "best burger in the Chicago area" (though why anyone would leave Dallas for Chicago is inexplicable). I don't care. Even though I have funds to spend, if you aren't openly honest and transparent, forget it. I'll even buy with high prices, and often do, while shutting out those that don't openly show prices.
