Still watching right now, but you crossed at Otay, then went east through NuevaTijuana? Laguna Salada in Mexicali perhaps? For those that do not know - that is the dry lake bed at the bottom of La Rumorosa where all out speed is fun. (And Pavarotti had the 'Sin Fronteras' epic night concert in 2003. I will guess you are going to ruta 2 then 3 to get to Estero. I will shut up now and keep watching. Oh, you backtracked west to ruta uno. Never mind. I have driven the entire peninsula two times narrowly avoiding stupid cows in Baja Sur twice. The huge rocks/boulders further down are insane. If you ever stay at Rice and Beans and are going further south - go east on Hwy 1 towards the Sea of Cortez and Santa Rosalia. In between there is a tiny "town" called Bonfil on the left/north side of the road that is the only place to eat for miles. Cafe Tuxpan. Awesome burritos and coffee. Dates (fruit, 'Datiles Megan') sold near the door are killer. A convenience store is next to it.
