The little gizmo that comes with Reed isn't a HERBIE controller, it's the Ultimate Nullifier, a device the Watcher gave to Reed to defeat Galactus in Fantastic Four #50 from 1966. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimate_Nullifier
I have the same issue with the light up head sculpt on Human Torch, light stays on when the batteries are in. Few qc issues but overall this is a win, love this boxset!
Great review. I pre-ordered and then canceled after going through some career changes, but Mezco pulled it off rather stunningly. I might have to see how I can scoop this.
As much as these Mezco figures cost and they’re still not up to par in some areas? Nah, I’m good with Marvel Legends. Granted HASBRO doesn’t do what they should either, but they’re not import price either. Mezco should be flawless for what they charge 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Mezco is probably my favorite manufacturer, they are in New Jersey, but yeah their QC has dropped off some imo. They will replace stuff for you if you email or call them, but it's a process to be sure.
Mezco SERIOUSLY needs to do a better job with their instructions. It took me almost as much time if not more to figure out the hands for Sue and her effects. Why they didn't just have a set of hands that were attached to the effects I have no clue. The photo w/ Johnny and the flame on his chest in the instructions seems to be an outdated photo as there is no flame chest attachment. I didnt see one and other videos to date of the pack didn't indicate it either. And lets not start on Johnny's base. Good grief. It was like trying to solve a Sphinx riddle. If someone was brand new to Mezco...actually even some seasoned Mezco collectors would be lost on how to utilize the effects. There isn't even an instruction for swapping out Reed's body. You do figure it out but would it have hurt to add an illustration? Come on now. All that aside the pack is pretty damn good imo. Thing is my fav. Sue unfortunately is least fav but her sculpts are nice. Thanks for vid. Edit: Well Im a bloody moron smh. They do have an illustration of how to swap parts for Reed. smh lol. Sorry about that. But I still hold to my original statement of Mezco needing to do a better job with their instructions.
Thanks for the view and your comment. I completely agree. Molded hands on the effects pieces for Sue is a great idea! If I remember correctly that's what they did for Hal Jordan and it worked great. This is still one of my favorite releases by Mezco but a few things could have been explained better!
Whats worse is Johnny's throwing three fireball effects piece has a hand molded to it. I don't get the decision making. Like Sue was the step step child when she was designed . I hear ya @fav@@TheCollectorCave
