I don't mind the size, I have a feeling these Mezco versions will work great with the Super7 Lord Zedd, Rita, and Goldar, and you already showed the other Hasbro monsters still work fine.
I just got my mezco green ranger yesterday and took some pictures with it today and I absolutely love mine the only issue I have with mine is that I think the cloth over the stomach area was snagged on something cause that what it looks like which is unfortunate 😐, but from far away you can’t really tell and I still love it and I think your review on this guy is absolutely fantastic like all your other ones my friend!
Green Ranger looks amazing, every time I see reviews of the PowerRangers I think of the Voltron pilots Keith, Hunk, Pidge, Sven and princess Alura and Mezco would be the perfect company to produce them in there style. Wishful thinking
Cant wait to get this... im still unsure if i want the 5 pack.. i preordered it.. but tommy was my fav ranger.. idk if i need or want the rest.. i guess it depends on my finacials whenever they are ready
Amazing figure except that the cloth material used gets worn out and you can see tiny little snags on it already. If they had used the silky spandex i think would look better.
Something looks off about this figure. :/ I would have preferred if they used a different material because his suit isn't really made of cloth. And something about either the high of this figure or the design of the legs that look odd. That being said, its a really nice looking figure when you get it in action poses and a nice addition to the collection still.
That figure is huge. No way to get around it. Makes me nervous for the TMNT, but we'll see. All and all, still cool looking. It'll look great with the other Rangers. Thanks for the review!
He’s the same size as the Marvel Legends Steve Rogers and Classified BAT figure, and neither of them are wearing a bulky helmet. Why do people thing this figure’s big?
@AlexRodriguez-oi4km its because lightning collection is smaller.. im fine with the scale. You should only wanna match the monsters with the mez anyway
@@AlexRodriguez-oi4kmSteve Rogers is a 6'2, 250lb supersoldier at his smallest depiction in the comics, becoming much larger since then. Cobra B.A.Ts are modestly large clocking in at 6'0 easily. Jason David Frank.was 5'11, and Seiji Takaiwa, the main suit actor for the Dragon Ranger footage was 5'9. Tommy just wasn't that massive. Figures just too big.
I have a few problems with this figure.... first in the fabric used for the outfit, would have looked 10X better if it was shiny and the helmet is missing a gloss finish which is very odd. His belt looks extrenely bulky as well. Doesn't look too bad when posed but those legs may be the worst I've seen from a visual stanpooint, they look like giant sausages when in a neutral stance. Head looks very cartoony too.
Although the cloth isnt accurate visually I prefer this type for function. Anything that would have had the gloss would be more risk for creasing and flaking over time, limiting the poses you can leave him in. It was probably an aesthetic vs function thing, personally I prefer it, but I understand why some people may be bothered by it.
Got mine, nice figure; too massive to display amongst other figures, and I'm not stupid enough to spend an additional $400 just to have a team it will fit in scale with. Put it in storage and will sell when it appreciates value.
From the promo images the lightning collection remastered green is looking like my go-to. Its unfortunate mezco makes their figures too tall, because this is pretty much a perfect representaion. They arent 1/12 scale, lets be honest.
He’s just as tall as the ML Cap figure though, and ML is 1/12 scale. For comparison, most Mezco are shorter than Multiverse (as DC figs stand at the taller end at 7 in., I’d argue THEY aren’t 1/12 scale if anything), and I’d say that SHF are universally agreed to be considerably smaller than most 1/12 scale figs. Mezco are a fine representation of 1/12 scale.
Big issue with these is the leg proportions. Consistent issue with Mezco is that the legs tend to lack shape and proper curvature. Some exceptions, but this isn't one. Excellent articulation though.
