Such a clever old school sounding rap track that I have not heard in such a long time. Can't stop listening to it. Takes me back to the 80s. Not much rap music peakes my interest nowadays but this does.
Have you ever had a Knish? its a jewish snack food, dough with filling typicaly baked or fried. Basically it fits the food theme of the album and rhymes with snitch. I've only ever seen them in New York.
This is such a New Yorky hip hop song. Knishes are an ashkenazi Jewish pastry that you can find in bodegas throughout New York. I don't think a rapper from any other city would know what they are, and Doom's usage of them for his food motif is highly amusing to me as a Jew. Especially because he says, "Mmm...delicious: rap snitch knishes." The man enjoyed a knish, and God bless him.
