MF GC 1700 SERIES | MASSEY FERGUSON VS KUBOTA | WALKAROUND 

I have a Massey Ferguson 1525 (year 2016) compact here in the UK and I couldn't fault it in any way. Great video

When comparing your product with other products, you need to use an independent agent. When I see MF doing a comparison between MF and someone else, I instantly think that it is just a sales push for their own product, and not based on important facts.

I had a used kubota B20 for 15 years. Used it lots and only needed 2 tire repairs and a couple of hoses. I put quite a few hours on my uncles BX23 too. Both great tractors. We just bought a MF1723. So far we love it. Biggest factor was price. With the loader on it, it was quite a bit cheaper than Kubota or JD without loaders! The Massey is probably your best value. My cousin has had one for a few years now and hasn’t had any problems at all.

I owned a BX1880 and lost it in a divorce. I purchased a Massey GC1715 (25 horse power) The BX was $11,000 and the Massey was $12,500 with the same attachments. The BX tends to have front loader flex with the single hydraulic valve. In my opinion, the Massey is a better value for the cost.

I own a Kubota bx 2380, I gave the video a thumbs up, I believe they are both excellent tractors, it really all boils down to nit-picking. Lol, your saying it’s a disadvantage that Kubota has three different engines for 3 different models, well, your right but your making it sound like they are out-sourcing their engines, they are all “Kubota engines” just different displacements. That wouldn’t make it hard to source parts if you have one model, it would be no different than the Massey. Actually a lot of customers DO like to remove the FEL for different applications and the convenience is important. There is nothing complicated about removing the FEL on the Kubota, the convenience is a selling point, your making it sound otherwise. You don’t have to get off the tractor to remove or attach it. It’s not the be all end all but it’s a nice feature. When all the smoke clears, the majority of buyers are going to have more than enough tractor regardless of brand type this size when your into the mid20’s horsepower range. Kubota has a good track record and I’m sure Massey Ferguson does as well. Cheers.

There was no real comparison, your just saying what Massey Ferguson does better than Kubota. Not a realist or fair review at all.

You need to do a similar video for the new 2800m series tractors compared to the competition (Kubota, John Deere, etc.). Would help people in the market for a tractor of that size understand the benefits of a Massey.

To summarize "I work for Massey Ferguson, therefore they are better." If Kabota hired you tomorrow, you'd suddenly change your mind. And if you worked weekends for John Deere, this would get really confusing.

I have a 1723 and man it's no weak thing done a lot around my place I had a Kubota 30 hp. Was a good one but little bit bigger than I needed my MF. Just right for the garden keeping things cleaned up around my place great tractor!!!!!!

I like Kubota peddles the best . The side by side peddles are to easy to press the wrong peddle . Which could cause a unwanted accident . I personally have experienced this on a John Deer model . Which by the cause me to break and crack the plastic hood on the tractor . So in my opinion the Kubota has the better set up on the peddle part .

The only factor to me that matters is dealer location. Maybe if you guys got a dealership in western Mass you'd have more buyers. The only dealers we have where I live are John Deere, and kubota.

I like Kubota foot pedal better . Two pedals makes it easier to press the wrong pedal and go the wrong direction . Personally I wish they had one pedal to go foward and a lever on the dash like the big tractors to go in reverse . Can not believe no one has thought of this . I would bet this option would be a huge selling point over it competitors .

Would have liked a comparison on the backhoe specs & operation. Or are they too similar to note?

Just out of curiosity if it's about the RPM getting you the horsepower why don't you just do away with the 23 horsepower and solely do a 25 I'm just curious. What I was tractor shopping it was down to either a John Deere or a Massey ferguson. I prefer Massey Ferguson dealer and you guys had way more stuff available for the better price. Kubota was pretty much out of the running right away

Do they make the 1700 series with a gear option instead of the hydro trans?

I’ve had jd 2305,1025r and bx2350. I now have Massey gc 1705. The Deere is best when comes to comfort but the Massey is my favorite. The kubota was the worst. Wouldn’t lift crap with loader.

Does the backhoe model come with a cab?

The KUBOTA BX has more ground clearance on the mid mower when in up and locked position. The locked position is worthless it doesn’t lock anything. I wouldn’t buy another one.

Beware of this company MTD Schweiz AG! MTD Schweiz AG sells the MTD, Cub Cadet, Massey Ferguson and WOLF-Garten brands, including spare parts, through specialist dealers. Don’t buy products from them, it follows a miserable service or none at all. Repeatedly waiting 20 minutes in the phone loop until one picks up at all. Then you are fobbed off with „We don’t know how to solve the problem either, and how long it will take until we have the solution we don’t know either.“ Yes it sounds like a joke, but unfortunately it is not. And it bears repeating. Companies working with MTD should think twice; now is probably the time to end the cooperation. Never again products from MTD.
