Every time I watch your videos, I fantasize about being your graduate student studying cross stitch and its significant history. Thank you for that. Beautiful song to close out, very calming.
Oh Jacob!!!!! Every time you have a floss tube I watch and then I am SO INSPIRED!!!! Love all of your new designs and everything you do! You are such a light in this world! Love, Laura
Welcome back Jacob, I have missed you. I love all of these patterns. I have already purchased Kartje Klaassens Boerema and I love it. I haven't started it yet because I am still looking at fabrics and floss. I do plan on purchasing others but not sure yet. Jacob, take care and Happy Stitching.
So good to see you again! I love the knowledge you share with us. Your new designs are beautiful and your song was amazing. I’m a very sheltered 69 year old lady who lives in Arkansas, but love hearing about other countries and learning about this big world we live in. I love the Queen of the May!:)
Such lovely stitching (and fair isle vest!). I love May with its verdant growth and sugar candy blossom, serenaded by the blackbird’s evensong so your music is just perfect! Thank you
Thank you Hilary - isn't it just one of the best times of the year? The birds have been singing so wonderfully her in the city, it just fills you with joy :)
So good to see you back Jacob! Loving the new charts. And hearing the carol at the end gives me Holiday Countdown vibes! Getting ready to go to Friesland for a longer stay and think I will put on of my MFE WIPs in my bag. 🪡 Enjoy the sunshine we have here in The Netherlands today.
Such lovely designs! Looking forward to the more in depth videos. You are a joy to watch and your songs are so delightful. What a treat to listen to at the end. I love learning about these wonderful antiques and always appreciate the time you take to share your knowledge with us! Thank you!
Hi Jacob Love all of the Samplers that you show. They are so pretty. They fascinate me because you often wonder how these little girls stitched these Samplers. I love the Song at the end of the Video - Very Pretty Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🧵🦯🧵❤️
Hello, JacobI am so eager to start my little dragon, I'm actually picking up speed on the finish I'm determined to complete before, I start the other two projects. and now you've given us Queen of the May, which was an immediate must-stitch for me. And your song was beautiful.
Oh Jacob……how lovely it was being with you again. Loved your designs, loved the mosaic tiles… It reminded me of several Cathedral’s I visited whilst in Chile…. Especially in San Pedro , the ancient churches Built in the desert were a Feast on my eyes…. To think of the painstaking task of these very talented Chilean Indians… You always bring a feast to behold Jacob, I’m grateful ❤ And the song !! Oh be still my soul…. How lovely with your voice blending & bringing life to the song…. Love your voice My birthday 🎉 is May 2 so I take this video as my gift from you ❤ Grazzie Gods Blessing, Jacob upon you & your partner & family ….. Sharon 🇺🇸
@@sharonannc.3079 Thank you Sharon! There's only one song right now, and there's an album of piano music - but not sure if either is good to fall asleep to! If you search for the artist name "In Praise of Shadows" you should find it. The album is called "IVY" and the song is called "Frozen Days". I'm planning on putting some songs out soon(ish) though! :)
So lovely to see you! You are been missed and what lovely designs you have shared with us! I love you designs, and thank you for the beautiful song! Thank you for sharing with us! You have a lovely week!
New subscriber, I absolutely love your designs! I’m a huge fan of blackwork and red work. I enjoyed your storytelling of how you were inspired to make the designs. I don’t have stitch shops near me, but doing some traveling, and already scoped out the local shops! I will be ordering the pdf’s if I can’t find the hard copies. The song at the end was beautiful! Thank you for your love of stitching! It’s very inspiring!
So good to see you again. Beautiful new patterns. The cathedral in Cologne -- my daughter took me to see it when she was living in Germany, and I was in awe. It's a wonderful memory, and I'm glad to see it again here.
Thank you Brenda! Glad you enjoyed the video. I had slightly wrong settings and the mic was ever so slightly clipping - next time I hopefully have the audio perfectly :)
I'm always excited to view your videos and love your patterns. Your song is so beautiful! I love the harmony! You are multi talented! Thank you for sharing your talents.
Hi Jacob! It’s SO good to see you back on FlossTube again. I’ve missed your videos - and the song is, as always, a beautiful bonus! I’m glad to hear things are going well and that you’ve been busy. I’ll definitely be adding the new Dragon chart to my rotation very soon, and I’m not sure I can resist that mosaic one - big or not - it’s stunning. I look forward to hearing you speak about the others in more detail when you get a chance to record those videos. You are missed over here in Canada 🇨🇦; we’d love for you to come back sooner rather than later. Take good care and happy stitching! 💜 Melissa
Hi Jacob welcome back ❤ glad you are well what a beautiful sampler love the windmill 😊 gorgeous red sampler love the name, look forward to your detailed talks on these.
So glad you’re back! Was so excited to see your video pop up. I’m loving your floral shirt. The samplers you found are beautiful & your new patterns are stunning!! I’ll be adding to my MFE collection ❤
Such an impressive video. Your talent is inspirational. Thank you for the charts and sharing the music with accompanying visuals. It was a moment of serenity in our frenzied world.
Welcome back Jacob! You’ve been missed. I love your new designs. Thank you for your beautiful song. I’ve had a few rough days and the song really lifted my spirits. Off to listen again. ❤
Love the new releases and the song! Thanks for letting us know how shops can get your patterns. A shop just opened up 45 minutes away from me so I let them know how to get your patterns. I'll be getting the dragon pattern from them hopefully.
Missed you! I am so glad to hear you back and see all the lovely patterns. You singing is heavenly. Thank you for all the care in your work. God bless.
So nice to see you again Jacob!! Oh yes, there's so much to do! I do love your designs a lot. EVERYONE needs a break right! Thank you for all you do! You never cease to amaze me. I love those Samplers and the stories behind each of them!! Take care!
Immediately had to watch your video. Loved seeing your new patterns and the antique samplers. Can't wait for another video. Thanks for gifting us with a song. Have a great week!
Thank you Kathleen! Oh that's a very cool idea - I hadn't thought about that but as soon as I can visit the great dame I shall certainly think about it! ❤
Hi Jacob, I enjoyed your video this evening. I like the Cologne Cathedral. I was lucky enough to visit it twice! Once in 1975 when it was under renovation and then again in 1987 when it looked even more stunning! Your new chart is lovely! I also love the Queen of May chart ( and of course, the melodic song you chose to sing at the end! 🎵🎶. 👏🏻👏🏻 Happy stitching and cheers! 🧑🏻🦰🇨🇦🥰
Thank you so much Marilyn! Glad you enjoyed the video and the song :). The Cathedral really is stunning indeed - on our first visit many years ago I climbed the tower. And as someone who has a mild fear of hights, going up the steps into that very open tower was not the greatest of things to do... so these days I keep my feet on the ground and just look around the cathedral itself :D ❤️
I am so excited with your new patterns and particularly that you offer some that are quite large and some more manageable. I have missed seeing you on RU-vid, so thank you for doing this one.
What a treat to see all these beautiful new chart! But now the dilemma...which one to start with?! I love the Cologne Cathedral Mosaic! I would love to see a series from all the great cathedrals of Europe. But I also love the dragon, the Queen of the May and the Little Spring Sampler too. Sigh! What's a girl to do?!
It’s good to see you again. I see I need to find a bigger wall in my house for red samplers! I stitched the Midsummer Sampler in with gray floss on white linen and it is my favorite of everything I have stitched. The Zimmerman coverlet is a close 2nd. Red silk 1 over 1 on white linen.
Thank you! Oh I love that idea - I'm thinking of making a red-and-black sampler wall as those are the two that I tend to stitch the most... perhaps one wall red, one wall black. Now to find walls... ❤️
Jacob is back!! I immediately put down Charlotte Ramsay to watch with full attentiveness 🤓 I’ve been studying "hold onto your socks" because I really want to make some socks with that sampler. Thank you for another informative video. I also had a chuckle at the relief print of the man hanging out of the dragon’s mouth 🙊 can’t wait for the next one! Happy May to you
Thank you Carmen! It's good to be back - and yes, that dragon is quite silly looking! But I love him for it :P. I'm actually knitting my first pair of socks (well - stockings really...) and once I've done the stitching, I'm going to stitch the pattern on top of the stocking. Haven't decided yet which one I'm going to do - this one or a different clox motif... :D ❤️
I was very disappointed to see that you have politicized your designs. I am referring to your post on instagram featuring your Palestinian project. I cross stitch to enjoy myself, to relax, etc. not to wade into the political landscape. Therefore, I am unsubscribing.
I agree Carol, it shouldn't be political to oppose a genocide, or racism, or to support LGBTQ+ or women's rights. These should be things that should be about morals. Sadly our politicians have weaponised them and made them political. And as my designs have always made a stance on such points (BLM, Pride, Women's Rights, opposing any war or form of violence), they have always been political. I find it interesting that certain political parties are happily telling women that they cannot have abortions, for instance - as all life is sacred. Those same politicians are then happily openly supporting the bombing and shooting of innocent men and women and children - who now have died by the tens of thousands. Are they not humans too? Is their life not sacred? Tell me - what did the tens of thousands of children who are being murdered by the Israeli army do to make their lives less sacred? I am genuinely interested in your thoughts on this.
