Mgła is not a typical Black Metal band singing about the devil's dominance. Their lyrics are on social changes, people's doubts and nihilism of the world nowadays. BLESSED BE GUITARISTS, THEIR WOOD AND STRINGS. BLESSED BE DRUMMERS, THEIR MEMBRANES AND STICKS. BLESSED BE VOCALISTS, FOR THEY ARE DRIVEN BY NONE. BLESSED BE BASS PLAYERS, LET THEM NEVER BE GONE! 🤪
Nietzsch influence is highly noticeable, especially within the last 2 albums on subjects like criticism of slave's moral and nihilism. An important band for our epoch.
As soon as this chinese pandemic ends there will be chances. Do not miss those. I've seen Mgla twice and a third time is a must. And grab some merchandising while you're there. They have amongst the best design aesthetics and use fine materials into their shirts and hoodies.
what I like on these guys that they are staying still with the legs on the floor, not flying high in the sky = still concerts in small clubs, not even the problem to communicate with them on their personal FB accounts. That's what people like. They take themselves still as people, making music for people. Equality.
This is why black metal will always be the most vast and innovative metal sub genre. See how Mgla sounds and how for example Marduk, Sargeist, Immortal and others sound. It's black metal but sounds like another genre.
Mgla has given me so much inspiration. They have brought art back into my life after a decade hiatus. They have rendered and a concept many attempt but few succeed in expressing. I have made 20 or so works listening to their albums in the past few months. I feel like I could make 100 more. Especially since I found kriegsmaschine.
That's what I think now about making some new things. Looks like I'm not alone in that feeling about this band. They are so trve. Or maybe they touch something deep inside and ART is a byproduct of this if you are an artist.
@@johngavin1448 sad news is after the whole visa fee ramping up done by the U.S. it is now extremely expensive for bands outside the U.S. to come and play there
"There is something about the rigid posture of a proper, authentic blind As if extended arms reached to pass his blindness onto others" I love those sharp, cynical & sarcastic yet very serious and sorrowful wordings in their lyrics! Humour and despair, laughing & spitting into the face of emptiness.
i'm seeing them live in two days. i have to say that since hearing them only 2 months ago on youtube, i have to say i don't know if i have ever been able to more relate to any lyrics from any band, like this before. the lyrics are meaningful poetry that doesn't need music with it. and the music is beyond words. the guitar work and the drums (o my .. the drums) are out of this world.
Always will support these guys. Sadly i couldnt see them life since "Antifa" pressured the Venue.. here in Nuremberg Germany. Donated my ticket money tough
Why would antifa pressure the venue? These guys have no Fascist imagery or anything, at least that I know of. They also did that with Peste noire a lot of times (although they do have the imagery) which looks just like stopping art, to me
@@cloakedowl5397 I dont get it either. They mainly argued because of one Member of their support Band (Deus Mortem) who plays in Infernal War which do not have that imagery either but sometimes had wierd interviews. They Argued further that Mgla has strong connections to that Scene and never distant themself from it. But in my opinion a Band with that Theme doesnt need to have to distant themselfs from any accusations made. You can go through every Album, there is no fascist ideology anywhere. The Individuals are not part of the Bands concept. So to break my view on this down: In a Band where the Individuals behind it are not Part of the concept, even if one of those individuals would have that tendencies or views, which i doubt, it would not matter since none of those idiologies are forced upon the Listener. Yet "Antifa" forces their ideology onto people that enjoy that music by forcing and pressuring venues to drop the concert. Its Ironic that a Group called Anti Fascists would generalize and vilify a Group of People like that. I only can say from my perspective if you claim to be an antifascist you clearly hit the wrong ones here out of blind ideology.
Wow nice "mosh pit attempt" peoplhe do having a good time, not goin with the intent of breaking ones jaw. That is how people at a concert should behave.
