Thanks for explaining all theses safety features to subscribers 😄. I never really knew actually whether hill descent control is on or off. Because MG decided to give an off button of hill descent control which really confused me. They should have not written as specifically off button. Instead it should have been normal on and off button for hill descent 🙄. By the way is it automatically turned on every start or we need to press same off hill descent button for turning it on

Hill descent control only turns on when you press that button. This system is for very very steep slope. Not for general down hills. Also this system will be useful when the slope is having a potholes. In such a condition the driver will only have to focus on the steering and not on the acceleration or breaking because that will be done by the car itself

I personally feel that hill descent control shall not be used in general because that will only reduce the brake pad unnecessarily and will also reduce your speed.

How does ADAS works on 2 lane road, with opposite incoming traffic just next to the car. Did you feel adaptive cruise control getting affected by those vehicles? Or emergency braking function sensing those vehicles and applying brakes?

ADAS will work on any road which has road strips! If that is not available then it wont work. Nope ACC reads only its own lane and doesnt get effected by anything happening on other lane! nope emergency brakes also applies only if the vehicle is in proximity of the sensors!

Hi Prakash, can you please cover this feature for MG Astor Manual variant as well. I own a Manual variant. Also there is a feature in setting - Astor - "Background App refresh automatically". No one has covered all these feature. When I received the car this feature was off by company. But what if we turn it on. And for manual hill hold feature how we can use it?

Very helpful video again. Do you keep the electronic parking brake engaged when the car is parked at home, like we do with manual handbrake? If yes then does it not stress the battery? At traffic signals, do you keep the car in D mode with parking brake or auto-hold on? Or do you engage the P mode?

I do keep the car on electronic hand brakes when i am parking my vehicle! In traffic i keep the car on D if the seconds are less else i put it on N! There is no problem in keeping the car in D as the modern technology knows how to disengage itself when we are sitting even in D mode

I would ask you to hold your purchase for 4-5 months and the ship shortage will be a thing of past! These are important features! Shouldn't be missed as they are safety features! Hope this helps!

Unfortunately there is no solution! People are facing trouble with the 1.5 ! You can do the following things - 1. Accelerate from before if you see a climb 2. Turn off AC when climbing 3. Use hand Break acceleration technique

Yes you can do that! No issues in this but yes the brakes will worn faster

You can use it without issues. However for bumper to bumper traffic the crawl function is very useful since you don't have to press the accelerator pedal again and again

Hello brother... Does astor have front parking sensor...and if some object comes in front of the car during parking, does the driver hear the beep, the it happens while reverse parking. I have astor cvt savvy one. Butvi dont listen the beep during forward parking. Please confirm...sorry for the descriptive comments

As long as you don't press the accelerator! The auto hold turns into auto brakes if it's kept on same position for long than 15 secs

Style has waiting period of 18-24 months as of now! I am not sure if you are willing to wait for that long! If you buy smart you can get it faster but then it's almost 1 lakh more than your budget! Super is in your budget but it's not at all value for money! If possible go for smart !you will really like it in long run , 😃

Welcome bhai! If in case everyone's iSMART is working and your is not then you need to do a reset! Other than that it's common... Actually everything is new and is getting updated every now and then!

Ye car lene ka socha hai par iski petrol ka kharcha bhari lag raha hai. 360 camera kia se kamjor hai. Bina hand break P se diskreak sh. jayada kharab nahi honge.

Agar daily driving jyada hai then petrol car ek dum nahi Leni chahiye! Petrol cars good for people jinki daily driver 25-30kms hoti hai! No doubt Kia k comparison mein iska 360 thoda low hai! Hand brake se koi issue nahi aayega! Hum kaun sa handbrake laga kar driving karte hain!

You can keep it activated on hills but i don't think it's very useful on plain roads! Unless you are driving in traffic

There is a logical reason behind it let me tell you- in general it does not blink like that. But when we are making videos at 24 frames per second then it happens. However if I change the rate of frame then this won't happen but I could not do it because it was evening time and this would have resulted into low quality footage. There is no problem in the car infotainment system!!

Usme bhi aise hi hota hai! When you will press clutch - car peeche nahi jayegi! Aur jahan par thi wahi se start hogi! Car milegi then i will pakka do it!
