Hope you guys like this Video.
so a lot of MG style owners were confused about the fact If they can upgrade from Steel rims to alloy wheels so I decided to make a video and make clear everything about the upgrade.
I have also discussed if Steel rims are better than alloy wheels and what are the challenges that you have to face in alloy wheels.
I have also shared my 10 year experience with an alloy wheel that was installed in my car.

Guys i forgot to mention the wheel cap price! It's Rs.373 per piece! So you will have to add 373x4= Rs.1492 more! Sorry for missing this 😞

Save more and get 16 inch alloys. No need to spend more on 17 inch tyres. Just replace the steel rims and get new alloys. Lower tyre size means bigger side walls and more comfortable ride.

I agree!! The only issue here is - you need to buy after market 16 inch alloys and it has to find good quality and suitable alloys for car! Car manufacturer focus on designs and then they come up with these type of alloys!! Your suggestion is 100% right!

Bro i seriously doubt ! 16 inch tyre wont fix in 17 inch alloys! I do agree with you about the cost saving part ! So it's better to let the car stay as it is! No doubt it's an awesome vehicle!

@prakashparadise Thanks for the video. I recently bought Astor Sprint Varient and want to buy Alloys. Im thinking to go with 16inch alloys but the question is do I get it from MG? If not which company Alloys would you prefer. The reason I don't want to go with 17inch Alloys is that I have to invest again for tyres and I enquired in one of the Tyre dealer for exchange of the stock tyres and they are asking it for very less price in Bangalore. Also I just wanted to ask you if I can install non functional Roof rails (which will be sticked to the roof) for the Astor Sprint

Alloys also help with better heat dissipation from the brakes so that brakes don't fade and give better bite and feedback.

Hi Planning to buy Astor Sprint (base variant), it comes with 215/55 R16 if I m not wrong This video has given me clarity on the upgrade to alloy wheels, But should I upgrade the tyres to 225/55 R17

You didn't mention about the hubcaps which are around 800 per piece. Anyways great video. I'm surprised to see the turbo alloys to be on the cheaper side. I was expecting more than 10k per piece but this is great news

Bhai u saved me as i booked super CVT I don’t like silver alloys for a black colour. I am desperately looking for this information. Can I visit any MG service center to book the alloys. As I enquired in Hyderabad showroom they said they are not available in accessories. So do i need to check with service centre people?

Bro so glad you like the video! This is not an accessory! It's a service center part! You need to order with them! It's impossible that they would deny selling the same! Ask the service advisor for it!

Sorry I got it from Lucknow! Best tyres are those which provides unconditional warranty! I had good experience with Yokohama New tyre bursted and they gave me a new one at just 118/+

I have a doubt please, MG Astor top models get something called 'Car under body protection' directly from company in-built which many cars do not get. My doubt is whether STYLE Variant gets it or not? Please advise. By the way I have booked my astor waiting for my turn :)

Car underbody treatment is needed if you live on coastal area or after your car is approx 2.5 years old! You don't need that treatment right now! It's all fine! Don't worry about it 🙂🙂

Great news, i guess every Astor style owner will upgrade to alloys 😀 .. i heard that automatic ORVMs are also available from MG as an accessory, is that true? And can we have Sangria red option on lower variants as an accessory/option from the dealer?. Also please make a video on what all modifications/ options we have for Astor from the MG dealer/service centre.

Protect classic is better in all ways! Insurance by other brand is still better as it would save you a lot of money! Many MG owners didn't opted for this!

Explained details very nicely Prakash.. but I have one doubt.. MG sales person told me if I upgrade the wheel I will not get insurance on new wheels.. is that right?? Can you please confirm?

I understand the logic behind his non inclusion of the wheels! When the car insurance is taken there is a particular IDV. Now when there is an upgrade of wheels, the value of car increases but the IDV remains the same! You do get 2 years 40000 warranty on Alloys but you might not get the insurance! For new tyres you can get a brand which gives no question asked return on damage of tyres as well! However i would suggest you to talk to the insurance guy rather than the sales guy and ask him to specifically mention about wheels and in that way your updated wheels can also get insurance! I hope i was able to make my point clear!!

One question. When i has a test drive of Seltos i was testing the hill hold control. It didn't work and the RM told me that it is becoz the steering was tilted and was not straight. Is os true for Astor too? If yes, then do u know any practical reason as why it doesn't work when the steering is not straight

Arey nahi main bhi bhavnaao ko samjh nahi paaya! Not true about hill hold not working when steering is steered! The probable reason for the hill hold not working could have been that you were not on the hills or the inclination degree was not enough for the hill hold to activate! MG Astor has auto hold function too! So even on non inclined roads the automatic brakes work!

@@prakashparadisee i went up the hill in seltos and my steering wheel was steered to the left, the hill hold function didn't work, when i asked the RM, He told me that i have to keep my wheels straight, after that, it worked properly.

As per kanpur,up dealership astor diamond cut alloys are now at 22k per piece and also as per them diamond cut alloys are not compatible with the style models. Is this true??

Impossible! And it is compatible! Kanpur is just 80kms from Lucknow If that can save you roughly 58000/- then i am sure you can take the pain

If the installation of cruise control will be from cuffler to cuffler then only there will be no warranty void! If in any case a wire is cut then warranty does get void!

Hi I am buying Xma Nexon on 15th august 22, .. i want to replace steel rims with alloys.. but Tata motors said that they can provide alloys but they can not exchange it with steel wheels. I don't want to keep steel rims in home.. but same time i want alloys for my car. So, let know is there any online sites to exchange steel wheels with alloys?

You can reach out to any car accessories/ service center guys and fix the deal before! In that way you can easily sell it! I have heard people try to give little profit on the sale but you have to negotiate toughly 🙂

I will upgrade to alloys once I get my astor style..which is not gonna get delivered soon I guess.... it's in second slot... any idea are they going to deliver style or its just a marketing strategy.. because my dealer said I can book sharp and he will deliver it in 1 month to me So it's clear that they don't want to deliver style.

No MG GUY won't do anything... You have to manage is yourself! Order an alloy wheels from MG service center and not the accessories guy! And (further process discussed in the video)

Brother MG won't do anything in these case! You need to find a buyer yourself. My suggestion to you would be- connect with various MG WhatsApp groups and find a person who has style varient and wants to upgrade to to the CVT alloys. (Since this is more like a a personal preference) You will definitely find some person and then you can sell him the same for at least 6000/- the new one costs around 7500/-

Hector on Astor! We willl have to see the bolt placement distance for that!! Auto dimming ivrm yes be installed the only problem is - it voids the warranty! It's an easy process so it can be done!

I would like to answer upon that! See generally it depends on the discretion of the service centre! If the speakers are not of a very high watt they wouldn't be strict about it! However companies do create fuss if in case something happens! I would suggest you to ask the service advisor and not sales guy for this!! 😊

The cost of alloys will be same but you will have to find someone who wants to take your alloy! i.e. 7457/- I can suggest you one thing - Talk to a MG Astor Style owner if he is interested in taking your alloys! You can see yours to him and you can buy alloys for your CVT! tyres you can use but other guy will have to get new tyres too! 😃
