I am so glad to know this! When i make these videos i have this perception in my mind that not everyone can invest so much time in learning about the vehicle! If i can cut short the time for understanding the same i have done my job 🙂
Thanks for the video @Prakash Paradise. There is a counter point to this though: these features might work well when the cabin is silent. But this is not the practical case when driving. We would be having some music playing and the passengers taking. And due to this, the commands get activated randomly without us asking for it. I own an Astor turbo savvy 220 as well. This has been very irritating when on drives when music gets stopped and radio switches on, AC turns off, the voice command goes "Sorry, I can't do it" despite us not activating it. Something that I wanted to highlight to the viewers and MG as well

I'm sure by now you've figured out that when you press the blower or temp control the AC turns on . I use it very often as the robot really takes lot of time and repetitions and the touch screen button doesn't give instant confirmation as well as a bit tricky to use when you're in music or map full screen and driving in traffic. I have driven my new Astor for 1000 km but didn't know that you need to press the manual AC button for 3 sec. I was frustrated why it doesn't work in one go :). Thanks!a

Hi Prakash, your videos are very informative and it’s a go to channel for me when I need to know the functionality of Astor. I had a question, I have faced this issue with Astor very often when the music automatically switches from Bluetooth/saavan/apple CarPlay to radio without giving any voice command or pressing any button. Have you faced this issue in your Astor? Can you advise a solution to this?
I am so glad that you like my videos! No I haven't faced any issue like the one you have mentioned what I would suggest you to go into settings and reset the whole system once maybe that would solve your software bug .do let me know what ever happens

I have 2 questions. 1. How is the AC? Few people complained the AC is not very powerful. How has been your experience? 2. Is the back seat comfortable? Few comments about bad thigh support. me and my parents are short height though.
To answer your question i need few answers from you too! 1. The people who said that the AC is not working properly, are they owning the vehicle or they judged the same after driving the car for 20-30mins 2. Talking about the comfort on the back seat I would like to tell you that the two seats are very comfortable. However the seat in the middle is not compatible at all. Only a child who doesn't know what is comfort can sit there! Even when there is lesser under thigh support still the seat feels very comfortable to me. Frankly speaking as you have mentioned that your parents are not very tall so it's an advantage for you because the comfort for them will be very good. Any person around the height of 5'8" would love the seat

Bhai there is a way but i would suggest you not to get it done as our car is already having lot of electrical parts and i would not try with them by installing an after market ACCESSORY
Yes! I did think about Hector But the thing was - i had to mainly drive the car alone or with max 1/2 people 7 seater car wasn't my need! So i chose Astor

If you are looking for high performance on hills then MT is not preferable However AT and CVT have been tested to their maximum limits and have outshined every time!
@prakashparadise Thanx for the response. Since I have plans for manual "shine" varient I wanted to know whether the vehicle can be driven in the hill or not. Though through videos from you and a few I could sense the type of performance.
Hi prakash.. I loved your video.. But this feature is not always useful while we are just having a chat with fellow passengers and it's taking the commands based on the interactions. MG should give a toggle to atleast turn on/off this feature.
Your point is correct There should be an option to turn off the voice commands! Frankly speaking maximum time I drive my vehicle alone! I am sure the issue of chat mixing can happen if if many people are sitting in the vehicle

The MG team is not aware of the same and that's why they said it like that! I am hoping that you have tried all possible ways but still you failed to connect, so let me tell you! It's an android issue which Google is trying to fix and hopefully new updates will make things fine! As of now unfortunately we can't do anything but to wait! I will tell you my case - my OnePlus 7t works well but people told me that new updates will ruin the performance so i didn't install the same!
@@prakashparadisee Thanks Prakashji. The only easy way to swap to Android Auto is to long press the MG Assistant button on the steering wheel. It swaps to Android Auto -- but it also initiates google voice. Its a bit irritating, but the only way to swap between MG screen to Android without taking eyes off the road. ....... BTW, thank you for your recommendation for Carlinkit 5.0 and discount code. I recd it yesterday and runs super smooth.
I did have a lot of conversation with people and I haven't faced the issue of of accidental commands being taken by the car. I also feel that MG has taken due care that the commands are not commonly used words. I will find a way to turn it off and let you know 🙂

Although if you ask my ownership review its pretty bad related to sales and service, service is still continuing bad kind of money eaters. About the car it's awesome.
It seems like that! Probably a person preference! The hotword makes the whole process slow and artificial! If someone is in hurry he wouldn't like to wait for those 4-5 second also! Just a thought
@@prakashparadisee well even i want faster processing maybe adding mg before a command in the same offline setup would be great. Mg volume up ; Mg turn on ac something like that; will help them reduce accidental command invoke
