I think due to the fact of it being EV. MG couldn't get the cost down. So they decided to give all the top of the line features in order to justify the price. This is like a luxury car for 10 lakhs from the inside. However, I personally will prefer the utility of tiago EV anyday over this
I think MG comet is made for purpose of daily commute and for travelling within the city . I know its a bit expensive but for the features and convenience it's better from it's rival. The compactness can be a game changer here .
Tiago can better option if it's your first car. I'll prefer the Comet as a second car. Can easily find parking spots and also has more features than a Tiago
Comet comes with great design (IMO) and the overall range, design and build quality is just perfect. so i'll definitely would buy one, love it very much.

@@reinventthewheel8364 I don't know why our thinking is shitty,I own a scross and nano (which I use for city) I have 30 kms daily running and I literally save 4000-5000 rs per month using nano plus driving in city is hassle free
Although the car is being made appealing in certain ways possible in this form factor like premium interiors, custom color choices, better designing than many hatchbacks out there especially maruti cars, I appreciate the effort but they closed their eyes on a very crucial chapter i.e. safety, and with these closed eyes they shot this arrow to hit some kind of target audience, but sorry MG Indian roads and people are just not ready yet to welcome such a product because people here sometimes drive little recklessly so one small mistake by someone can turn this MG into OMG.. you can say but people travel through e-rickshaws too here so are they safe? Yes they are not but those people don’t have choice, most of those people don’t own cars for themselves but when someone is spending around 10 lakhs for such a small vehicle he/she would definitely wish for some considersble safety otherwise 10 lakhs are enough to book an uber for the next 10 years if my daily commuting expense is around ₹400-500 here is the math 400×22×12×10 = 1056000 (10 lakh 56 thousand) regarding inflation I wont be going to work every weekday, there will be leaves and holidays too And regarding the experience I will be getting my own personal driver in uber what else would be more comfortable But I hope our country gets ready soon to accept cars like these so for that we ourselves should also inculcate driving discipline and the cost should be reduced a little too..
Poora para to nhi padha but last para padha. Jo aap inflation bol rhe ho uski bhi koi tension nhi hai. Bcs jo 10 lakh aap bacha rhe ho uska interest bhi to ayega. Such interest is more than inflation
The City this is designed for easily 3000 per day in Ola ( Mumbai, Noida, Bengaluru) buying this car in any other city is foolish. In rv segment also any muv, hatch back is better
What could really sell the Comet to many is perceived quality, which is of a high level for what could, from the outside, be mistaken for a budget car ❤

Thanks for this review. You got it write but most people commenting against this car are probably not understanding the market segment it serves. Right segment for this car is people who 1. Already have a big car like Safari/innova for outstation drives 2. Have place to park 2 cars 3. Have infrastructure to charge electric car. 4. Need a small car for small city commutes like office, dropping kids to school, driving to crowded market. This car is far better than any other car currently sold in India when it comes to 1. Ability to park in tight spaces 2. Drivability on crowded, bumper to bumper city traffic There is truly no competition in current market for comet as its only product in that segment. Tiago EV segment is budget EV, which is different from lifestyle EV segment that comet comes in. If Tata relauches Nano in electric avatar, then it will be competition for comet. MG should provide fast charger and ADAS based city creep mode features and bump price to 10L to remove tag of cheapest EV
Really don't understand why MG limit the scope for the Comet by not providing the fast charging capabilities. More people will jump in when fast charging is available for this car.
