I think that the Fiat is definitely more stylish. The MG is more utilitarian and obviously uses a lot of components from the 200/400 Rovers. A few friends had these MGs back in the day and they were a very affordable way to experience open top mid engined motoring. At least where I live the Fiat didn't sell in anything like the same numbers but then again they made the MGs down the road so that's part of the reason why. I remember that the larger Fiat Coupe including the Coupe Turbo that was available at the same time seemed to be more popular. I'd be very happy with either car but I do prefer the Fiat's lines.
