Love this video. It inspires me as I am restoring an an MGTF Replica special which has a 2ltr 6 cylinder. I aim to make it sound az good as your car is 👍💚
Thanks for your comment. The cars starts better now as we had the car on a test bank and changed the needle. Now we now that also at full throttle the mixture is not to lean. This when running on a circuit like the Nurburgring 😀. When you got your car running record the sound and send it 👍
@@F2magna Hi Jack, I will but there's quite a lot of work still to be done. I'm currently setting up my workshop with all the tools I need to complete the car like the dry air system, blasting cabinet and powder coating oven. Just the oven left to build and I will be ready to start properly on the car. I intend to put some videos on my RU-vid channel called 48 Spokes if you want to have a look at. There isn't anything there yet but there will be soon. I have a good friend who has an MG TC fully restored and is now working on a very rare MG Van which there is only one currently on the road in the UK. Kind regards Paul
Yes we got now the choke working and a different needle and does has improved the cold start a lot. The car has been on a dynamo test bank to check also the mixture at full throttle. This when driving on the tracks we want to be certain the engine is not having a to lean mixture. We changed the needle now with more fuel at the top end. The disadvantage when driving in 4th gear at low rpm the car becomes to much fuel but keeps on driving but when shifting back it takes a few 100 yards to rev again :-)
