This is a new channel to me.. So my interest in MG cars started when I bought my first MG saloon Montego EFI it was a I recall a 1990/91 G registration for £150 quid. I sold it after around 4 months for £260 pounds and that same evening bought a 1976 MG Midget 1500 cc in Mustard colour for £750 pounds. This car had a service history and a total of 27 previous owners. I managed to sell it on to an old guy for £500. It had its faults. Few years on to 2015 I think I went out and bought a MGF vvc 1.8 1998 in Tahiti blue, it was a sad car in need of work I never paid much for it £350 I love the cheaper cars. This didn't start well for me Me n my then neighbour towed it back from Swansea using a metal style tow bar attached to my Vauxhall Vectra 2.0 DTI It had a tow bar.. Our journey home went well until we was about 10 minutes from home and some how the mg ploughed into my Vectra. I had tears in my eyes lol.. Luckily no damage to my Vectra but my Front bumper on my MG was a little frustrated. A month later we was on the way to MOT STATION when the alternator died, We replaced it and A few minor issues had the mot on it.. Oh the thrill of driving this car its was really fast cool looking car. Sad times happened someone decided to smash my drivers window. (Cant really have nice cars where I live) A trip up to welovemgfs replaced window and a tyre I don't think they really rated my car But being a newbie had to bit the bullet. On my way home there was this horrible noise coming from the back. So i came off into Coventry and parked my car on friends driveway where it stayed but then ended up at Pelsall MG were it basically got scrapped. They basically said the amount of work to do mot out way its values and at the time I could easily buy another MGF for £600. And then finally I bought of Ebay another MGF se 1.8 vvc in Wedgewood blue. for £750 pounds. And a fair few quid spent on this because its rare numbers I sadly scrapped this too. Again I felt sad with myself I think life throws some terminal issues at us in life and sometimes its costly to do the right things. I guess in my ideal life Id love a bungalow with a lovely long drive a double garage and plenty of space to keep my beloved cars safe. I am still considering trying a TF I saw a few Love a sprint 135 but I nearly did by a Mono mgtf light purple pink green type of shades.. fab The ultimate car collection would be a SE TF and 135 and mono. Back to watching the car show.. I only saw one Wedgewood blue sadly you didnt get close to clock the registration..Oh well.. I believe there is still around 150 Wedgewood blue one in use or stored possibly. Mondays I approch with enthusiasm and by friday Ive gained nothing.. Must start going to car shows Mike Brewer gets about..
