They were around 75 hp out of the factory so a good result. plenty more power on offer when you can modify the head more and bore bigger for the modified categories or full race spec

So I gather the usual tune includes pancake air filters, high flow intake manifold, re-jet, gas flow head including porting and enlarged valves, and a single inline silencer. And some go further - re profiled cams and high comp pistons, and an option to bore to a larger size. May i ask what you went for? (BTW, Am not competing so am not constrained by Comp regs.)

the power in an A series is in the head. Im restricted to pretty much std (flowing and std lift cam only) I was informed if i could have done a large valve high lift setup with larger carbs (pretty much race setup) i would be able to unlock another 20hp+ !! As always though the trade off is drivability so first question you need to answer is what do you want your car for and how many $$$ do you want to spend as the numbers roll very quickly. If you have no restraints and money to spend you could make a very fast car!

The exhaust and carbs are explained in previous videos. the carbs are only needle/spring changes. the engine is bored to 1328 and balanced with gas flowed head and long duration cam. std rockers and std valve size and cam lift ratio. plenty more on offer (upto say 140hp) if i was allowed to go full bore on the head and cam + move up to 1380. One for another day
