Sir I have one question regarding sprue design. Sir for a component with T, L junction having thikness 30mm . How we design a sprue as it top poring without having runner and gate. How we calculate sprue bottom diameter and top diameter.

There is no such standard formula however you can find out the metal requirement by calculating the volume of the thick area in the casting by calculating modulus.
