What a coincidence! I live about 100 mtrs from the Puzzle in farnborough, I've had a MG ZS for a few months, we regularly use the 303 to exeter and also plan to use the American restaurant for a mid trip charge! Good to see someone use our planned charging stop. Thank you for a great video.
What a great, practical review. I've ordered a ZS EV "long range", and this is one of those reviews that make me feel I've made a good choice. Thanks for the tip about filtering on ZapMap - I'm an EV novice.
Just love your videos proves that you can go for long runs with kid’s the ride seems comfortable. I have long time ago learned check the back seat for comfort if you want to go on long rides if the people in the back are comfortable then you can easily go for long drives. Your family really are cool can't wait for mine to be delivered hopefully in December and take my grandchildren to drive on it.
Thanks Adrian! It’s a great feature, although I’ve had EVs for along time I’ve not done that much long distance driving so I’m not too familiar with all the options!
Another brilliant family trip! Interesting comment about not worrying about range as there’s plenty etc. PS tell the girls I think the fluffy toys are great, you always need loads😂😂😂
Thanks again! Yea this car has about 4 hours range when full so it’s easily going to go further than comfortable without a stop, the hops on the way back we’re well within range even at 90%. Yea did you notice how more appeared too!
Cute family. So glad you waited right until the last moment to tell the kids about Leggoland. EV infrastructure looks way better in UK compared to backward Australia. Thanks for sharing :)
Ah thanks! Uk infrastructure is definitely getting better but still has a long way to go to be as convenient as filling a regular car. But perhaps not too much further 👍
Great video, so surprised that in 2022 a place like Legoland doesn't have any chargers. How are you finding the front seats on the long journey? Is that a nectbase dashcam, would you recommend it?
Thanks Phil! Yea it’s very patchy in terms of destination chargers. Just wait until they work out what people would spend their money on if they don’t buy fuel! Front seats comfort wise are fine. Yes next base i have a video about it (2 actually) it’s ok but could be better.
I didn't realise how quick these were. One came up behind me yesterday as I was approaching the second Severn crossing on the M4. When I moved out of its way, I was treated to a blisteringly quick pass. Come to think of it, that one was red too, did you go to Wales on the 22nd? 😂
@@eviain yes ! same everything as they have had petrol and older esev model … they have also just repriced the 2 battery sizes to beat the recently release BYD Atto3 … first time in Australia to have EV competition for the cheapest price point … we are very behind here having such a large country I guess .. $48k AUD
People who don’t know their own onboard charger amaze me , seems quite a lot I have met . Sales people have a lot to answer for . All should be onboard 22 kw capable at 3 phase . 7kw or less is pointless , only good for home charging, 11kw ac a minimum but should be better
I have just bought a ZSEV long range and was disappointed to hear the UK version does not get 11kW charging. I see that on type 2 I get about 6.5kW so very slow. I also have an i3 and it has 11kW using 3 phase cable which is great.
