Today: MG ZS V6 180 REVIEW - UNDERRATED BARGAIN! WHATS IT LIKE TO OWN? Track Car Project
We bought this car just over 3 years ago for £600! Granted we've spent some money but, it still represents an awesome value track car.
For those that don't know, the MG ZS is very capable and one that can easily be modified to be surprisingly competitive. Out the box it has a great chassis and a sweet sounding engine. We have a few mods on ours and decided to showcase our thoughts and progress with it.

I had a Rover 800 with the exact same soft brake pedal after several attempts to bleed through the ABS module. I finally managed to solve the problem by racing round a field and jamming on the brakes to activate the ABS. Worked a treat!!!

Just One tip, your seat belt mounting points are not the best, if you Crash you could get injured in your back, you need a bar in the back of the seara to correct the Angle or Change the mounting point position up. In case of a Crash, in the position that they are now it Will compress your spine/back, brake your seat. The Angle should never exceed 45 degrees, ideal around 0 to 20 by FIA standards.

Thanks mate that is true, I would advise a full cage if you are using harnesses anyway and that was the plan then the other project came along so it has stayed as it is for now. Good to mention and something I wished I'd pointed out in the video. Thanks again pal, hope you enjoyed the vid

A fairly inexpensive way to keep the car cooler on track is a water-methanol injector, which are easier to fit to plastic inlet fanimolds. Plus it washes out all the PCV/crankcase gunge if you're not using a catch tank or have direct injection (I know the ZS is port injection obvs ☺)

That’s interesting mate, haven’t really looked at that, we’ve have a catch can but who knows when it was actually fitted as it was there when we bought it. It holds temps so well, but interested as to how this would work and a clean inlet is never a bad thing! Thanks for the support pal 👍

Thanks pal, lol it does make me "ha ha" every time! Yeh, that would be good mate, just very difficult when I am filming on my own at the mo! Appreciate the feedback buddy

If anyone watches this youll have seen the dmgrs finally got high enough quality radiators made so they are available new as well as the condensor radiator they are sliwly getting many key parts remade and better like the blower motor or clutch kit

The guy on facebook makes uprated vis motors for the inlet too which is worth the cost i think he charges 50 for the set

Yep 100%, he’s on the MG owners c🥲Facebook page for the VIS motors, always keep an eye on DMGRS for their Rads 👌
