I'am a solid middle wage earner as an IT sa Pilipinas for 15 years, comfortable life. Now here in Cali, sobrang mahal mamuhay sa Cali. I did regret coming here at sobrang lungkot buhay dito. Ang mali ko is hindi ako nagresearch about reality in the US. Yung minimum wage earner dito Cali is may tax at madaming tax, sa Pinas walang income tax for minimum wage. Naging culture nalng na pag pumunta or galing ng US is bigtime. Ewan ko ba bakit ako andito hahaha.
failures part of our lives to become successful to our chosen path. ^_^ embrace and lets learn from it. ^_^ keep inspiring or sharing your story. salamt po
Lived and worked in the middle east for 7 years and we just arrived here in the US and totoo talaga na we are all pampered doon like almost hindi mo maramdaman na nagbabayad ka ng rent, gas and utilities and health insurance is paid fully by your employer kaya madaming pinoy ang hesitant mag move sa western countries kc comfortable na sila and they have built a network of friends doon. Pero when it comes to long-term goal, life in the middle east is just temporary and this new journey will teach us more in life and we are beyond grateful na nag migrate kami dito kc my future children will not experience the struggles of being an OFW.
Randomly bumped into your channel. Thank you so much for sharing some words of wisdom and relatating the reality of life there in America. I will be migrating soon to US, and I've started mentally and emotionally preparing myself. I don't know what's gonna happen and how life is gonna treat me once I'm there. I guess, I will just do my very best, maintain a positive outlook in life and entrust my life and our family's future to God. At least I got some idea on what to expect once I get there. Again, thank you so much po!
I hope we all find our peace in our hearts... godbless us all! Merry xmas!
Hi there kabayan! Accidentally bumped to your channel last night and watched 4 episodes :) i can tell how down to earth you are as a person and direct to the point to your views with regards to the topics you have been sharing. I subscribed immediately as I sensed a wise Filipino man, worth of my time. The expenses there and here in Japan is somewhat similar and you are right , anywhere you go now, people are facing hardship. Inflation and recession etc.. hope to see more of you and perhaps make a video shopping your necessities like in the supermarket bec people like us like to check the food items, prices and what not in the US of A. Salamat kabayan and more power to you.
One of the struggles many Filipino immigrants face upon reaching english-speaking countries is to totally overcome the language barrier. That is, not only to become proficient in english, but if possible, to become articulate. Not being able to convey clearly what you really want to say can land you in trouble, like in jail, hospital or worse, in cemetery.
Not really. I've met a lot of Mexicans without education and English is not their primary language but they can communicate well, even with broken English. If you're coming to the US or Canada, you have to embrace the English language. Some of the ideal things to do are watch more English TV shows, read newspapers, watch news, TALK to anybody lol to polish your English; understand the idioms, the figures of speech, all literary forms of the language. Being able to communicate clearly and getting your message across is a big plus in finding better jobs or getting promoted. And if you become a really good talker baka tisay pa maging wife mo lol
Totoo po yan im here in kuwait 28 years at nagpasalamat ako sa friends ko sa America na nagsabi ng totoong buhay sa America kaya di na ko nagmigrate here i have comfortable life i can travel anywhere without hurting much my pocket. Life is short enjoy your life.
Hi PLA. I enjoy watching your videos, it has given me a lot of lessons recently. My family of 3 is gonna be moving there in the US particularly in Cali. If I may ask for an opinion can we afford a brand new car like yours or shall we settle for a cheaper used beat up car. Me and wife could potentially earn 80 bucks hourly. Knowing Cali, rents are way too expensive.
A cheap, used beat up car is a waste of money in my opinion. Youll just end up paying a lot of money for many repairs. I will be honest Cali is one of the most expensive states to live in. But if both your income totals to 80/hr and 40 hrs a week. I dont see it impossible to live there. That's good enough. But if you make the same amount here in Minnesota or somewhere in the midwest, I tell you you can live in a mansion and youll save a lot of money.
Good day sir. Hopefully meron kayo tutorial about License Endorsement to Minnesota from NY. Hopefully ma deploy na ako dyan next year. Saint Paul po ang facility ko.
