Beautiful build. I used to feel the same way about the Luke V2 lightsaber being "ugly" but there's something special about those beat up variants that has grown on me over the years. I'm not sure if it's a "face that only a mother could love" or just the practicality of the pieces themselves that elicits a certain amount of adoration from me, but the older I get the more appreciation I have for the weathered props from my favorite films, if only for their utility over their looks.
