@@HeadHunter455 once i killed banana sponge lizard from qurupeco's calling and once qurupeco summons again thaf spongy lizard came back. I'm not sure qurupeco can summon another different monster or it was just so happen to be R.Ludroth
While i'm not sure if this applied for Tri, 3U and/or P3rd, the monster called is another specimen different than the one hunted, just the same species, and it's at _full health_
Haha, yeah that'd be cool! 😄 I hope MH6 overhauls the Monster vs Monster systems a bit, and it'd be a fantastic reason to reintroduce Qurupeco 😄 Heck, maybe some other 3rd gen monsters too, like lagiacr- ....well, we can dream. 😅
Again a video filled with kindness and good advice. Qurupeco is a tricky beastie, but you made a pretty cool break down of the ins and outs here. As you note, the spit will debuff and one thing I learned from experience is not letting debuffs linger, even those that seem insignificant could lead to a cart if you get a particularly bad set of circumstances. I feel hunting solo, while very difficult at first, can help one really grow little by little and get better at hunting. Sure, MP is an option, but I don't think it works for a newcomer unless they happen to be very kind and patient people, which may or may not be the case. If all friends are newbie hunters, it could be more positive in a way - whether they fail or not, they'll all grow together.
Queropeco was definitely a fight I had some trouble with on SNS before I started to really get his tells. That first hunt against him took me a solid 15+ minutes and I was so frustrated the entire time, but I've gradually gotten very fond of him. He's such a unique monster and he makes the invader system make sense. I'd love to see him brought back with World's style invasion where the monsters actually interact with each other, there could be some real fun in Peco calling for someone that ends up trying to eat it instead. Plus, if they keep peco's calls being all unique, you'd have a good idea who's on the way, and if you want to try for a dung bomb or not. All that said, on my 3u run I ended up on a good charm table for heavy bow gun and pellet turns poor Peco into mince. Another great video! Glad you're interspersing regular hunts with the last of the weapon tutorials so you don't go insane.
Yeah, I'd like to see an overhaul of the monster vs monster systems. Rise's "system" is... awful, and while World's is better it still has pretty huge flaws. It'd be nice to see something, like, where the monsters see each other as a threat and will fight/flee accordingly, and if you attack them enough, they'll start to see/realize you're a threat as well, and split its focus between the two, both through its own positioning and attacks, that could be nice. If NOTHING else, just make it pick a target like it does in multiplayer, which I'm assuming is mostly random (with some influence from armor skills etc.) Haha, thanks for watching!! Yeah >.< It's one thing to play through the game with weapons I'm familiar with, but trying to speedrun learning the fundamentals of each weapon is... a bit too hard for me 😅😅😅
I don't know if you touched on this at all, but monsters that fly to change areas will always land, then head for a specific spot in an area before changing to a different area, even if it would make more sense for them to just take off from where they are. This spot, if I'm not mistaken, will be the same for all monsters that can fly. It works especially well on the Deserted Island's Area 3. Lay a trap in the middle of the small tunnel between the two larger areas. If you positioned it right, the monster will fall right in as it tries to move through so it can get to its takeoff spot.
Can confirm peco has no tells in Tri on whether he does two or three jumps. After replaying it via COMPLETELY LEGITIMATE HARDWARE with my TOTALLY NOT TRADED IN COPY, I relearned that this monster is a bit punishing to be the second large monster you fight in Tri. Requiring Green Sharpness to not bounce off the flint on his wings when you can barely get out of yellow.
😊😊 Oof yeah, Tri was a crazy game haha, I only knew that trivia from the wiki, but I'm glad they added it 😅😅 Crazy about the bouncing. I'm not sure how it fares against other weapons. Part of why I wanted to use HH was for the non bouncing song too 😄
Yeah!! When I first saw that MHFU was still being played online I was so happy. I hope it never dies and I hope more people learn of its existence 😄 The PSP MH games are surprisingly so incredibly good, any MH fan should at least try them I hope you're having a good time! 🙂
Pellet auto-gathers on head, which makes the fight much easier. Whenever he tries to sing or call, you can easily stagger him unless you're out of bullets and need to reload. PS. Pellet no longer auto-gathers on head since the next game (MH3U/MH3G).
It still did in p3rd, but only for some monsters with pointy head like zinogre, amatsu, and alatreon (tho you still need to aim at the head to be effective)
Honestly fair, his spit making you take more damage from fire attacks is a brutal combo, not to mention his jump attacks and how potentially oppressive they can feel.
@@HeadHunter455 do you remember me? Weird Guy who wanted to kill a late game Monster (even forgot his name) in a early mission where you need to scape him and get popo tongues, also I watched some rise lives, I think I was tech Hunter something like that, the name was because I Loved Monster hunter
In MH6 we need: More Leviathans (Lagiacrus who was actually part of MHW development but was cut out; Agnaktor and G. Agnaktor) Interesting Flying Wyverns for High Rank and later Master Rank/G-Rank (Hypnocatrice would be a great choice and Quropeco is amazing) Heavier ecology focus on general. Anyway, I just want to see Red Quro again.
@@HeadHunter455 for me the reason melee doesn't work is that I can't see the whole monster when I'm using melee, so I can't react to yellow lizard's head turning to one side in time
I was using the horn with sonic bomb at least, so it wasn't horrible. So many big fins... Also I followed along for so much of your FU playthrough, thank you so much! I don't know where I would be otherwise
I normally just pepper this thing with LBG shots til it drops... Also never have I ever known that I could roll in the watery areas of a map to extinguish the fire blight
