An interesting first encounter run that went pretty smooth where I played well, due pretty much exclusively to my knowledge of the Gore and Shagaru Magala matchups.
Between KOs and topples, I simply did not give any opportunity for Chaotic to use any of its new moves and tricks, and I did not get hit once.
Ironically, it is when I hunted a few with a friend after this run that I carted twice and got surprised by a lot of things, notably Chaotic's different patterns on most of its AOE attacks, some interesting fake-out patterns (like 4th gen Chaotic) with the hipcheck move, and generally even more aggressive than its counterparts.
Chaotic has in my opinion, by far the best presentation in the game or even in the series, the cutscene is absolutely fantastic, painting Chaotic Gore as this suffering, bastardised abomination that failed its mutation is something almost sad that caught me by surprise. The "acting" in the cutscene, the music and camera shots were simply amazing.
While it was very clear in previous games what Chaotic Gore is supposed to be, this kind of presentation is really what lacked for me to really appreciate the monster.
My apologises for the constant menu-opening in the second phase of the fight, I had no idea how bulky this thing was especially after the beating I gave it, so I was trying to see on the map if it was capturable, as I forgot to reactivate some elements of my HUD before doing this run.
There is a serious ton of new content with this update especially gear wise, it's going to take me a while to make some new sets etc. The Chaotic Gore Hammer to begin with, while it was shafted a little bit with only 330 raw when other weapons of its tree have 340, is extremely interesting and I'm going to craft it asap to experiment with it.
