Round 2 Vs. Furious Rajang, this time without followers.
Wanted to do this for a while so I took some time to come up with strats to complete this as fast as possible and goddamn it ended up more than 20 seconds faster than when I did bring followers...
While my opener got slowed down by Anjanath missing his attack on Furious, and a few other missed hits during the battle, there was still some really good interactions that made this my fastest run on Furious Rajang.
In particular one thing I did in this run that's pretty useful, is using Furious' Rampage arms to speed up the animation of Hammer's level 3 charge.
Landing the rising hit of the level 3 charge on the arms reduces hitlag significantly because they are a terrible hitzone. Less hitlag made it safer to land these level 3 charges on the head of Rajang, allowing me to get out of the way faster.
Using weapons with worse sharpness in previous games was a legitimate strategy, as it would make it so that the big blood effects and hitlag weren't triggered even on good monster parts, in order to speed up the moveset of your weapon and land more attacks than normal as a result.
As mentioned before, Furious Rajang is one of the best anomaly monsters, due to the afflicted individuals fixing the issues with the regular ones, such as being too easy to topple by inflicting damage on their head. Afflicted Furious Rajang is also notably one of the most "active" monsters during exhaust state, making it much less of a punching bag than other exhausted monsters.
