Malzeno is Fighting Against Malladus. Malzeno: I will not become your puppet Malladus!!! Malladus: you would dare Defy me?! My children will rise! The Qurios Are my children!!
I didn't put what happens in the title to avoid spoilers because it surprised me and it was a new experience in MH although I was waiting for this ending since the lore says he lived in harmony with the kingdom for a long time and killing a being like that would be a big mistake
Well what I can say about this magnificent scene is: We are finally starting to get the Riders mentality and I am totally in favor of that. Anyway excellent ending to a great game.
When the citadel was still around and was occupied it wasn't just malzeno that protected the surrounding areas. The garangolm helped farmers grow crops by just existing beside them and garangolm were mostly peacful. Villagers would celebrate the simple act of a garangolm just having a stroll. And the most popular (and my favorite) is the espinas being offered food for protection, since they are imo the chillest monsters in mh and sleep alot they were given gifts by nearby villages and it would wake up with food. In turn they protect the nearby village from smaller monsters and even ELDER DRAGONS like kushala. I just started playing the mh series with worlds. And besides stories this is the first time I have heard humans tolerating and even HELPING monsters. And I absolutely adore it!!!
I still feel so bad about Nergigante being seen as like a boogeyman to the New World hunters, and even without conflict they kill the older Ruiner individual that's been keeping things in check for who knows how long FOR SCIENCE.
@@pubfriendthegreat1259 Damn I didn't know about this side of Garangolm and Espinas , now I'm more eager for them to explore more this benevolent side of monsters in games.
That ending made me cry 🥹 *BEST ENDING EVER IN MONSTER HUNTER HISTORY!!!!!!!!* *Primordial Malzeno is the best Elder Dragon in my opinion and I hope we see this mighty Elder Dragon meet Nergigante and see how these 2 interact soon*
That would be cool to see nergigante and prime malzeno together they both seem to keep balance of things in a way imagine if they team up against a common enemy
@@lachlanowers.5764 Nergi does it for his own benefit Malzeno does kinda too but it’s more of a understanding thing with Malzeno sense he’s just defending his territory which is the kingdom and everything around it.
@@Cheetahcat-1128 Nergi kinda just does it for food while Malzeno does it unintentionally which props to Malzeno sense he still understands humans are helping him and not dumb enough to feel threatened
I am pleasantly surprised that after so long they finally made a "friendly" monster that was only neccesary to repel, even Nergi, who helps out killing Shara, ends up wanting to fucking kill hunters, I know nature is harsh and all but with all this lore about elder draogns being so powerful and intelligent and ancient... hard to swallow that in the end every player is killing dozens of them every week when they reach endgame lol.
They probably going to make Primordial Malzeno the Kingdom's new insignia, honoring the idea that in the war against malice, we should not be consumed by it.
This malzeno is the original malzeno species, so this Means he would lay eggs to The Riders Care his Sons, but the dark riders would use the Qurio Malzeno to attack the other riders, so The riders of Nergigante or Shagaru Magala riders could fight these evil riders, the Dalamadur Monstie would be a little more unique because the Dalamadur new especies is more shorter and like a Normal Monster
I loved this story of the primordial malzeno makes a lot of sense and demonstrates the intelligence of dragons and that they are not just evil and irrational creatures
@@TheMrBelion Honestly I’d apply that to all the monsters, yeah some are very aggressive or suffering from a disease and ransack civilizations at times, but ultimately just like animals in our world they all serve a purpose and have reasons to survive reasons why I never kill stuff like espinas. After this I hope that mh 6 looks more into the idea of cohabitation with the monsters instead of always kill first then understand later, mh stories 2 was the closest we got to that idea so far but we’ll see.
Dude this was so beautiful for once we save a monster instead of killing it almost cried absolutely amazing ending thank you Capcom for this beautiful game and more too come
The pose Malzeno makes at 2:10 is the same pose he makes in his original cutscene (for regular Zeno that is), it's like a full circle, it makes even manliest man shed a tear.
I also noticed this, I thought it was very cool and I also noticed that before contact with the qurio his wings are completely smooth and during the fight they tear when he enters into symbiosis with them
Almost got teary-eyed like Fio here seeing this. I felt really bad for Malzeno, it was just a victim of the Qurio, and this Malz would have just inadvertently been ostracized by humanity and called a demon all over again. I was initially hoping we'd get to see the knight dragon turn into a fallen knight, but being able to save it and help it keep its honor instead was a much better choice for the story (though the next several dozen P. Malzenos I fight won't be so lucky lol)
I really like this varaint of Malzeno, especially how it fits its vampire inspiration. Its basically used to be a valiant and heroic knight that was corrupted by a demonic force to become a blood thirsty vampire. But now its "curse" has been lifted and it became the noble knight it used to be. I love it.
It was really cool to see his behavior in the fight as he fought the Qurios releasing all of them from his body wildly. gave us an example of how he defeated gaismagorm using gaismagorm own power against him
To clarify about the monster being villains- they're not. All final bosses we fought so far just happens to act like that in the wild. Ibushi and Narwa just wanted to mate, Gaismagorm just maybe wanted to feed. It just happens that the Humans were caught up in between. Don't know about Fatalis tho
@@revenant1581 Capcom confirmed that Ibushi, Narwa, Safi'jiiva, and Fatalis are the Elder Dragons that ARE actually hostile against humans. Although I think Alatreon might also be evil in Iceborne
To be honest, this ending was so unusual for a Monster Hunter game, and for this reason I think it is an absolute masterpiece. Malzeno is one of the best monsters in the series.
I completely agree. They give Sunbreak a pretty good story compared to the past games which only focus on "A powerfull monster is going to attack us" vibes.
@@TheMrBelion as it was forced to by the quirob as it happen to snail as parasitc worm forced the snail to be eaten by bird inorder to be digested and later find a new host via bird poop
So in the end I would say that the Primordial Malzeno is the og one. The Malzeno we fought before is actually Malzeno who got controlled by the qurios.
While it’s intro implies it to be the same one, Primordial Mal is just another member of the Malzeno species that showed up. The first Malzeno we fight was the same one that fought Gaisma, simply becoming scrawny over time from having bonded with the Qurio for blummin’ 50+ years! As evident from recent lore talking about how Pri-Mal is what the Malzeno species normally looks like.
@@dragomango992This Malzeno is the ancient one on whom the poem of the Archdemon and the Demonlord is based on. The one who fought against gaismagorm 50 years ago is a different one. This Primordial Malzeno is a very ancient monster that has been fending off Gaismagorm for probably thousands of years. The Malzeno which got infected was a different one that tried to fight Gaismagorm 50 years ago.
I agree as primordial malzeno was suffering from the quiro til Fiorayne and us help this malzeno take out the Quiros that was Infectibg the elder dragon.
I feel bad for those that are missing out on this awesome experience, Then again, The work fanboys will ruin our fun with their unsurprising complaints…. I take it back, I don’t.
You know in MHRise Sunbreak I thought Malzeno was a Vampire Elder Dragon but it was a Guardian Knight Elder Dragon who was protecting the kingdom from Gaismagorm, and his parasitic servants.😃😁🥲😉👍
He did not become corrupted to the power that the qurios can offer and continued to improve over time becoming stronger and stronger while others of his kind like the one we killed could not fight against the possession of the qurios and became corrupted
@@TheMrBelion I would love to see Primordial Malzeno battle against Fatalis, Alatreon, Shagaru Magala, Shara Ishvalda, Oltura and Safi'jiva because that, would be so freaking AWESOME!!!🤩👍
@@TheMrBelion Yeah Oltrura is a cool Elder Dragon but the one thing I don't like about him is that he eats Rathalos and Rathalos is my number one favorite, flying wyvern monster.
