That Kelbi dude was really strong, to think how strong he was when his body didn't get minced into paste. I shiver at the thought of how strong he must have been in his prime.
@@ericc.5141 so you mean the monsters' base hp shown on kiranico are all high rank by default, and are scaled down in low rank? But I heard elder dragons had higher hp even in solo, or was I wrong?

Samson Oussadit *guranteed kill on any attack, all weapons bounce off if not in white sharpness, ground explodes below it as it walks, can send lightning to a player anywhere on the map and the moment the attack is launched it lands leaving only a half second animation tell, roar sends players flying while also counting as a guaranteed kill if not rolled through*
same, but in my case i used it the first time against an elder dragon instead. which doesn't do anything and i thought it's just an useless gimmick item lol
@@slimefrank6317 I understand there is that charm in owning a game physically, but why not just buy it on the eshop? Or was this before it was available on the eshop?
I've only recently started watching your videos. I love them and i really respect how much time and work you and your team put in to get us content like this!
Reminds me of Borderlands 2. One of the Characters had a skill called No kill like Overkill which made it so any overkill damage was added to the base damage of your next hit. This was pretty hilarious because combined with all the other broken skills that character had (some players referr to Slavador as a walking glitch rather than a playable character) that you could just quickly wipe a mob enemy and your next shot had the potential to one-hit bosses...
Wow...what an amazing video! I also liked how you showed the whole process and not just the hits themselves. (Ps. I bet you tried this already, and I feel stupid for asking, but would putting on a sonorous HH beforehand for the attack up 20% work at all?)
I fricking love the xenoblade music in the background, getting me hyped for the remake coming to switch. Also, I feel so weak compared to these guys, so sad :(
This video feels like those guys that play dark souls 1 butt naked with nothing but the red tearstone ring and Zweihander. This is really cool and goes to show that wasting hours upon hours farming materials is totally worth in the end so you can utterly shatter every monsters dreams.
Yeah we saw it a couple times. Must be certain checks and armor values etc that are stopping it from dying instantly. Meaning another hit would probably kill it even a normal quick glance or a rock.
Somehow this is the most "realistic" Monster Hunter video of them all. Because, in real life, no living thing, no matter how big it is, could take a direct hit to the skull with such a heavy chunk of metal without dying from severe brain damage.
0:35 Me: Uuh, i'm pretty sure Kelbi is one shotable. 0:39 Me: Like seriously. You don't have to do it, you know ? 0:41 Me: My gosh, he is actually doing it.
I just started a few days ago and I am still in early/mid game so I don't understand those weapon mechanics and buffs and upgrades and what-not - but damn, that's a lot of damage! xD I felt so powerful returning to the Ancient Forest with my flame-upgraded Dual Blades and could DESTROY a Great Jagras in about 2 minutes of non-stop slashing, but you just crushed his entire skull with one giant swing. That's so awesome! I can't wait for late game now :D
12:42 Rathian and Rathalos were done in multi-target quests, which lower overall monster health no? Would this still work if it were just a solo of either?
on the monster weakpoint calculation at the start of the video on the right side of the screen it says x0.80. this means: say if the base damage was 10 then it would go x2(sleep)(20)x2.11(motion)(42.2) and then x0.80 (weakpoint)(33.76) would equal to lower than the previous result (42.2). then the calculations for crit boost and white sharpness which in the end would equate to 62.38848. the equation you would be looking for on the weakpoint calculation would be: sleep multiplied number+(sleep multiplied number x 0.80). read over your calculations more.
Thank you for this. That was amazing to see this ! And with your video now I know better how are calculate the damage in this game, that will help me so much for some build :)
