we have enough dragons... there are other creatures out there!! ive always wanted a beast final boss, but honestly, the neopterons are way more forgotten than beasts. it was a nice choice

I also liked that the boss of X / Gens was a Carapaceon instead of a dragon, too - all we need is a Fanged Beast and a Bird Wyvern final boss!

TheRoxas13th Yes. After years of raiding fortresses and modelling, the Mantis was able to make a "mobile nest" that resembles a huge dragon to scare predators

crispy dango that would make sense, many animals and bugs use defense techniques that make them look bigger or imitate other more dangerous animals, combined with how there are a number of bugs that are incredible engineers this outcome isn't that outlandish.

Gog really isn't a damage sponge unless you mount spam him with insect glaive and bowguns

He still happens to have the highest HP total in the main series (dunno 'bout frontier), but he's still challenging and pretty fun when not mount spamming because he actually tries to kill you (unlike Dala who's just there )

They could had made Dalamadur more better. Too bad it was scripted. Still my favorite Elder though by far.

edit: In a friendlier tone, him being a speed runner is irrelevant to a team 3ple carting. Canta could be on that team and the mission might still fail. (That is what I was very poorly trying to say before) As a solo hunter myself, going in solo gives you immense freedom and if you fail it's on you not some random people you meet online. Soloing seems crazy at first but believe me it will grow on you

Calling someone a speed runner is just another way of saying they're really good. I can guarantee you that the majority of speed runners did better against Atoraru ka on their first try compared to the average hunter. Are you telling me the fact that he's a speed runner (very good at the game) doesn't give him an advantage when fighting any monster for the first time? How many people do you think got wrecked by Atoraru ka on their first try?

Dude I'm not saying that xD Of course canta being a very good hunter factors in, I just wanted to highlight that soloing is sometimes more beneficial, especially when on the opposing side you got random teams. Not talking about premade hunting groups. I perhaps chose my words incorrectly, sorry fellow hunter ;)

White Jester Final bosses in the series usually don't return in later games except for a few exceptions. Fatalis, Akantor, Ukanlos, Amatsu, and Alatreon are the only online final bosses to appear in future games. Knowing this Atoraru Ka will most likely not return in Monster Hunter World.

The funny thing is that Kogath (Guy in charge of MH official wikia) on october 2016 posted a photo on twitter of a mantis sayin "Look what I found on my way to work, wouldn't it by fun to hunt one of those?" Then we got the mecha tease. When i remembered that I was tripping in balls. By the way official lore on mantis is that it assaults fortresses to steal whatever it likes so it can make a mech for selfdefense or to travel. So no Equal Dragon Weapon related, sadly.

its actually just a pile of garbage strung together into what looks like a mech. None of what that thing is made of originally belongs to any kind mech or robot. Its all just old building parts, struts, w hat looks to be a primitive elevator contraption for a neck.
