MI Band 6 works out to be around 37.5% cheaper than SS Fit 2 here in India so the default choice is the MI Band 6. This despite the fact that I own an iPhone too but do not want a big smartwatch.
I have both 2 bands and here are my opinions about Mi band 6: 1) screen : it does get bigger than any other series so I like the size of the screen, but I am lil bit doubtful if it really has better(higher) resolution than Galaxy fit 2.(Mi 6 has higher one according to the spec tho.) With a full brightness on both, I can see Galaxy fit2 has more sharp and clear resolution than Mi 6. Mi 6 shows little bit unclear edges of an image. 2) CPU spec : I definitely can say Galaxy fit 2 has way better CPU, cuz it responds very fast when you slide your screen, or run some functions, while Mi 6 does relatively but significantly slower. Your Mi 6 screen moves when you completely finish your finger sliding from side to side, for example. You can also find this on the video. Focus on the screen when he slides of both bands. 3) Customisation : Definitely beats Galaxy fit 2. Mi 6 has lots of faces on the Mi fit app and it has even customed face, where you can customise vibration patterns as well. Any other software-ish things depend on an individual taste so I cannot say either would win.
@@beatrix8308yep Galaxy watch app works on ios too. But if you are already using Galaxy watch series like Watch active etc., then I would not recommand to pick Fit2 because the Galaxy watch app only connects with 1 device. But if you are not, I bet you would be satisfied enough with Fit2.
I bought fit 2 the quick reply feature is so much convenient. I hope Fit 3 comes with swipe navigation, smaller bezel screen, camera shutter and customizable face.
@@DK-ox7ze me? I guess the best thing to do is creating a review about all the mobile apps in seperate videos since some want to have samsung vs. huawei , huawei vs. garmin and so on
But playing a piano is technically not sedentary. You might argue that you stayed in one place while your hands worked out, but same happens in sex. We're pretty much in the same place, but still "workout." So, yeah, it counts as a calorie burn.
Honestly, I was close to choosing the MI band, but decided to get the Fit 2. Samsung already has my information since I use their phones, so I do not need to give another company my information if there are alternatives on the market.
Informative video. Thank you. I like the shape of the Samsung fit more, it looks neater on the wrist for some reason. But the accuracy and features of the mi band makes it a winner for me. Any thoughts on the Mi band 6 vs the Fitbit Inspire 2?
I just upgraded from the mi band 5 to 6 and loving it! Massive QoL features w/ my favourite one being the ability to access music controls **when** doing a workout mode is active! Also love PAI it's been a game-changer for me and has help me stay consistent dude lockdown times! Also love how customisable the home menu is. Biggest pet peeve is that I really need to invest in a better strap that is more delicate for my skin! Also worth knowing you can only set 6 max shortcuts on the left/m+right of of the watch on the homescreen compared to the miband5 (personally I was able to make do with that amount). Awesome to see tracking is mostly onpoint too, thx again for your review!
i have a question. does mi band 5 or 6 log how many steps you take a day and calories burned? but without manually selecting a walking workout. As in it just logs your daily steps logged whether or not you are conscious of the band
@@karthikreddy524 Not bad for its price. It's still holding up (except for the silicon band I had to replace this month). Pros: - I can set goals for number of daily steps and daily activity - I can measure heart rate and blood oxygen levels - Heart rate monitor will also check your bpm periodically depending on your preferences - I use the mi band to track bpm and calorie burn during workouts - You can also view your workout history - I charge the battery once every 3 to 4 days - It vibrates if I've been idle for too long - I am notified when I have a phone call e.t.c (this means I can leave my phone lying around without worrying about missed calls) - Alarm is useful when you don't want to wake up other people. You can also set custom vibrate pattern. Cons: - Sleep tracking is not very reliable so I turned it off - iOS app drains my phone battery during the night so I always turn off bluetooth before bed - To get accurate heart rate measurements, the band has to be worn very tight but this will make your hand hurt after after an extended period because of the constriction. I also read constriction like this can damage your nerves so I always keep it loose and comfortable now. But I had to turn off heart rate monitoring because there is no point if I am wearing the band loosely. I still take measurements manually once in a while so I tighten the band and then loosen when measurement is complete. Hope this helps : )
@@yega3k I have bought the Mi band 6. All the things you've said is correct. Except in case of battery, I can't even use it for a single day with all the health monitoring features off. So I'm returning it. I guess my model is fault or some other reason🤷♂️. Can you recommend any other fitness bands?
A smol reminder : MI band 6 supports 2 apps as well the first one is Mi Fit app and the other is Xiaomi wear app. I am not good at reviewing those apps so can't tell much abt it but I use Xiaomi wear app and I use it mostly to change watch wallpapers with custom ones.
Unfortunately, after one month of trying everything I can with the Xiaomi Band, intensive and different workouts, sleep analyses, etc , I've just concluded that the sensors and results seems much more random that actually true.
@@jakecrackerbarrel8348 With all the honest reviews I've seen (and too many reviews from youtubers only wanting to grow their view count), I totally agree with you on Fitbit. It's more expensive but it's not a gimmick as those cheap bands with sales based only on marketing and "fake" reviews. I'm really considering doing the same as you.
I love my fit 2 its really nice. I was thinking about getting the mi band 5, but im happy with my choice. I mainly wanted it for a smart watch killer, but of course i wanted fitness features. I'm wondering what the fit 3 is going to be like.
Ah! This is hard! I use Samsung, so Fit 2 is obviously a better pick for me but I think I'll be switching back to iOS in months. That huge bezels on Fit 2 is a deal-breaker for me too😔 I hope Fit 3 will have less bezels and bigger screen.
Readability is worth looking into; we're a lot of people getting 'old eyes' and needing (reading) glasses... Glasses don't work in the pool... or needed when exercising.. But if numbers are too small, the device is useless. Thanks for a good review. Will get the mi band because the figures look bigger..
The Galaxy Fit 2 allows some basic canned responses to SMS and WhatsApp. Being able to reply "Yes, No or OK" direct from the band is really helpful. I don't think the Mi Band has this. Samsung doesn't have any emoji support which means some messages can't be read on the Fit 2 whereas the Mi Band does has limited emoji support. Last time I checked on the older Mi Band, it wasn't possible to change music during a workout, you had to quit the workout to access music control. Samsung doesn't have this limitation. Because of this, I went for the Samsung Fit 2
Easy choice Samsung users: Fit 2 Other Android users: band 6 Why? Band 6 has More functions, more screen wallpaper and more can be customized, and better deal.
Can I add extra notes? Been wearing Fit2 since Dec 2022 til today : Fit 2 ; Female Health Tracker - only available in the Samsung Health app. This app is where all the data of wearer's heart bpm, steps, stress, sleep, workout, food can be viewed (daily, weekly, monthly) but you need to sync the data from Fit2 to the app via app settings (auto or manual sync). Fit 2 also have the nudge function to tell you to take a walk if you've not been moving for 1 hr, which is a great feature. If you wanted a weather forecast update, you'll need to set the weather widget from the Samsung Wearables app settings and switch on location widget in your phone. There 's also a camera remote function in Fit2 but I've never really succeed in using it. Fit2 can also give notifications (calls, text, WhatsApp, Instagram, Email etc) as long as you set which app in your phone via Samsung Wearable app that you wish for Fit 2 to display (limited to 4 notification at one time). Fit 2's sleep, steps and heart bpm is, unfortunately, not so accurate but the app fot Fit2 is smooth and user friendly. Fit2 is still good device for general wellbeing tracking though.
Battery life for mi band 6 is not 14 days as they claim. I would say its around 10 days if you use it. But If you enable PAI which is one of their core features, band brings a message saying your battery life will be shortened twice. So I assume with PAI its only 1 week.
Reviews are great! Quick question as another reviewer of devices - what mic system are you using? It sounded really clear and I don’t see a lapel mic. Thanks!
4:17 I am using mi band 5 and it does have auto fitness tracking! The only actual difference is that in MI band 6 we can find workout history , large screen and sp02. no offence :)
good video I have just bought MI Band 6 one of these to replace my Samsung Gear S3 which is dire so looking forward to trying it out. Thanks for the insight it definitely influenced my decision on which one to buy.
I watched your video today. And i subscribed and set the notification. Your videos are realy interested. You can explain things clearly. I think you have good future. Good luck!
The biggest difference that you did not mention is that you can respond to notifications with the Samsung. I have the MI band 4 and it is great, but I really want a version with this feature.
Hi there as per your experience what you prefer which one best for me to buy in UK I m confused Mi 6, huawei 6, huawei watch fit , huawei fit elegant ,samsung fit 2 or honor 6 please reply thanks
No huawei or honour Please, they actuallt helped identify Uighurs in china, it's blatant human rights abuse, it's the tiny bit that uh can do :) Jazak Allahu Khair :)
Noting that the Fit 2 is discontinued by Samsung, it is still available for sale (Amazon). I picked one up as an alternative wearable for when I'm outdoors or in my workshop and don't want to chance messing up my Watch 5. It is a great little unit not unlike my original Fitbit Flex 2 which finally died after 7 years, but nowhere near as small (knowing it also has way more features). It will make a nice tracker and basic watch, which is all I need it for when I don't have my Watch 5 on. The added benefit to me was I switched from Fitbit to Samsung based health monitoring and it will tie in seamlessly with the Watch 5 and my phone (all Samsung now).
Why Apple didn’t do something like MiBand? Fintness bracelet and smart watch absolutely different kind of gadgets. I had AW5 last year and it was don’t comfortable for me. Now I with MB6 and I like it! Thanks for vid, it was interesting.
If apple do make smartbands, they have to compete with mi bands and the others with a "reasonable" price. And that, is something they probably will never do
I am using a Samsung Galaxy Tab A as my Smartphone because it has a SIM slot and I don't like carrying multiple devices. Samsung Wearables are not compatible with ANY Tablet PC, even if it is in the Samsung family. My Xiaomi Mi Band 5 pairs perfectly with the Samsung Galaxy Tab A. I have only had the Mi Band 5 since christmas and it is already showing problems. I am looking to upgrade the MI Band 5 to the 6 because I have noticed a slow down system wise and that the step meter has not been accurate from the beginning.
The mi fit app that the mi band 6 uses can sync directly with google fit while the samsung health app needs a third party application for it to sync with google fit.
Whats the thickness of these two fitness trackers i have average size wrist and I'm looking for something that would be look nice and slim against my wrist
I loved my galaxy fit until it popped off my wrist and fell in a public toliet so i left it in there, the band isn't that secure so i won't be buying another one unless to put a more secure band on it.
Which is better as an alarm... yes that's why I'm interesting in getting one, as an alarm, cause maybe a thing vibrating on my hand would wake me up better then my phone which I somehow unconsciously dismiss it's alarms off after consciously dismissing the first one that goes off...
@@aminaabdi7180 I actually stole a random huawei watch from a relative who got a better one(he didn't mind it at all) and I've been using it as an alarm. Kinda effective? Recently my arm has kinda gotten used to it so I have to also set an alarm on my phone else it won't wake me up entirely.
I dont like that the galaxy fit 2 doesnt use the whole screen. Seems pointless to have such a small box as a screen when u can offer more display area like the mi band 6.
Won't there be a galaxy fit 3? I wanna buy a smart band.. I feel like galaxy fit 2 is kinda old but then again I prefer Samsung over mi .. so should I buy galaxy fit 2?
I don't think that sp02 is that important. Most of the time you'll have 98-99 anyway. It might help on sleep tracking to track rem sleep but heartbeat detection probably does the same.
@@MikeOBrienMedia yes I think I will, I don't need smartwatch (although Galaxy Watch Active 2 is really 🔥🔥 IMO), so I watched your review about Fit2 and instantly fall in love with it...can't wait to try it out. Cheers man, thanks for the comment I am very big fan of your work! Much support ❤✌🔥
I've been using the Fit 2 for some months now and I've been very happy with it. Just one thing that bugs me is the lack of watch face options. They're very very limited when compared to Mi Band. Edit: Mike I don't think Fit 2 has auto brightness, I don't find it in settings. I have to manually increase the brightness from quick settings every time I step out.
I've been using fit 2 for almost more than a year n i get only 7 or 8 days battery backup😥 tho i keep my brightness at level 2 , but auto stress n auto heart rate monitor on
