On March 7, 2024 Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and County Commissioner Raquel Regalado announced the county’s decision to terminate Miami Seaquarium operator the Dolphin Company’s lease.
It would be better if the County were to take over the animals since SeaWorld has proven incapable to care for them. They do it for cats dogs and most everything else.
f there is any "so-called" abuse going on, then the county should work with the Seaquarium to get that rectified and give them a chance to fix any problems. My goodness, the Seaquarium has been a part of Miami for so long. Give them a chance to fix the problem. The Seaquarium attracts tourists and exposes and teaches children about marine life. There is nothing wrong with that. We are being bullied by the viewpoints of a few who don't like marine attractions, zoos or circuses.
