Is there any new good vids of good over nighters/cuddy cabins with full fishing capable abilities. Years ago Bostin Whaler and Grady white used to make some with all the options an still had a decent cabin for pulling into a harbor or dock and staying over night or for a few days. Something you could hard core fish and island hop in the Bahamas or the greater north west around Washington into Canada. I guess or I think it was the Marlin for the Grady white and the Conquest for the other. Or any of the other brands out there that make similar. Most boat shows I see now are play boats that in a sense or large center consoles with 4 to 6 outboards and super fast speed, or the offshore CC from 23 foot to how big you can go for hard core fishing. Back in the 90's I seen plenty of the cuddy cabin walk around that had aft birth and even AC in the cabin or heaters. Hell I almost bought a 28 ft Grady White instead of getting a house when I was younger, much younger. Do any of these ever make it to the boat shows any more or is there just no interest?
Unfortunately most of the manufacturers have bailed out on the walk-around style models. Boston whaler still makes the conquest, but most of the express boats don’t exist anymore until you’re in the 35’ range. The Northwest is still hanging onto some pilot houses like Parker but there’s only a few left.
They have their trade offs… cats ride nicer, but are pretty limited size on a trailer due to height. I was looking to ride the new Invincible 33’ but it wasn’t there. That’s the next step in the Cat development, stepped hull with foil.
Nice boats but there's too many center consoles what about like Cuddy cabins or something small like a Weekender that you can get away it's all the same to both look the same the prices are just up and down up and down ridiculous! I wouldn't buy one of those boats no f****** way!
