I spent an afternoon in Miami during a flight layover. It was so awesome! I hope I get to go back there again some day. My only gripe was how expensive everything was.
I would recommend wynwood if you're really into art and modern stuff, it's a little area that was a dump but people came together to fill it up with art
Three corrections in pronunciations: Calle Ocho is pronounced Cah'-yeh Oh-choh Coconut Grove is pronounced, well, the way it's supposed to be. Grove, not "Groove" as said in the video. Deco Drive - Deco rhymes w Echo, not Meeko.
Visited Ocean Drive a week ago. All "hostess/hustler" tell you there menu is 50% off but when you get the bill, it's full price. I had to talk to the "Manager" and see adjusted to 50%. Also all restaurants along the strip charge a 20% Service Fee regardless the size of your party. No more for me thanks.
I live in New York, but my dream has always been to live in Miami! Explore the culture food and places be part of that community. Hope someday I can make that dream come true. Every year I applied for jobs down there.
Dude do you even live in miami? South beach my be the best to hangout, but it is very nasty there. And some of the places there aren’t really the “best” to visit in my opinion.
Is this a good place to live at least in the safe part of Miami? I’m from SoCal and live in Texas right now and I miss the beach and the city so Idk if this would be a good place to live in but can someone give me their opinions/suggestions?
My parents and I are from Texas and flying to Miami this summer, but whenever I google "things to do in Miami" all that it shows is museums and parks, giving me the impression that Miami isn't as fun as I thought it was. Someone please tell me something that can change my perspective by giving me a few suggestions of what to do! And by the way, our hotel is right off of the beach so we already have that covered.
This is a nice brief guide, it's also humorous with diction by the narrator; 'Art Deeeco' and 'Coconut Groove', of all the great accents in Miami, that is the newest....duh yeah I new it!
A very well done video. i was surprised to see the name of the Parrot Jungfle had changed. I have some funny memories involving that place. While I live in Fort Lauderdale at the moment, having just arrived, I do not plan on going to the beach or seeing the ocean during my residency in Florida , unless it is unavoidable as I go to Key West. Little Havana does interest me, as I did date a Cuban American years ago. I even played Desi Arnaz' "Babalu" in Sacramento with my car stereo and also near Convict Lake in the Eastern Sierras this past year ! As a former buyer of tower Records and with family that appreciated "La musica Cubana" I am familiar with Lola Flores and" Maria La O" as well as other groups. I am, however, half Colombian and will be interested in that part of Miami, as well as where the Venezuelans live and other districts where Laitonos of different countries live. being Half german , in a way, I look forward also to meeting the tourists of Austria, Germany , Switzerland and parts of what used to be Czechoslovakia, as well as Israel. Thank you very much for this fine video ! David Baumgartner
Please can somebody help me like i am going to miami in July......Are there any roller-coasters in Miami,If they are please tell me. Thanks i will be very grateful if anybody will tell me:)
I hope im not late but thats a beach next to this building called "one". It is next to the bridge connecting surfside with sunny isles on the surfside side. It is like a 2 minute drive from bal harbour shops. This beach is amazing. Its never over crowded, and the parking is free (until they fix the parking meters). the water is shallow but sometimes it gets dirty with seaweed but when it isnt, its worth a visit
DO NOT TAKE A YELLOW CAB ANYWHERE TAKE A SHARED UBER (UBERPOOL) Me an my gf hopped in an uber from aloft hotel miami beach to the airport for 4 dollars total in a yellow cab that would have been like 40 dollars
All of Miami is part of the large Cuban community. Key Biscayne is pretty boring. Unless you are totally white bread or old, you might want to skip it. Vizcaya is NOT in Coral Gables. It's on the north end of Coconut Grove. BTW, it's not Coconut "Groove" but rather Coconut Grove. Surfside is a quiet area. Haulover Beach is not in Miami Beach. It's north of Bal Habour. It also has a nude beach.
My 1st visit to miami. Awesome place and the people. Very helpful. Lovely experience. Stayed in jwmarriott. Very good service. Good rooms. Overall a good experience
