Fortunately though the producers weren’t allowed to destroy high end cars as they aren’t now. You can be sued by manufacturers for destroying high end cars and you will never be able to own one. That stood strong with the Countach and Testarossa, and the reason Enzo Ferrari told them he wanted the replica Daytona Spider at least destroyed on an episode if they wouldn’t actually destroy it because it was insulting his car using a C3 Corvette chassis and 350 engine to replicate one of his far more liked automobiles (at the time the Corvette was more so disliked in a way). He gave them two Testarossas and a few DeTomaso Panteras og his choice out of his personal collection that could be used as Testarossa stunt cars but never to be replicated in scenes that didn’t involve the car being hit or damaged (as many scenes did). Keep in mind he gave them two of his new cars to help promote sales of the Rossa and a handful of his personal DeTomaso Panteras (including a now obsolete GTS) to use as stunt cars. Lamborghini wouldn’t even allow them to use a Countach or instead of the Testarossa Crockett would have had a Countach LP5000 QV S.

@@Win7ermu7e Yep, like I said above, two very diff Lambo Countachs were used. The chase was filmed several times out on the streets and then across the causeway a number of times. The city streets were Park Ave, Dade Blvd, I think down Washington Ave and then speeding across the Venetian Causeway. I may have missed a street or two.

Yup. The shots from outside of the cars are the S. The ones from Crockett's car are the regular.
