While attending Podcast Movement 2017 in Anaheim, CA, I was invited to try out a variety of popular mics for podcasting. There's no EQ or compession on any of this audio, so you can hear the differences. What do you think about these? Which is your favorite?

What a great idea! They should have it set up so you can bring a flash drive and keep a recording of your own comparisons, so you can listen to them yourself later and compare your favorites.

Dan Magoo actually, the sponsors of this booth did send each person's recording out to them after the show was over. That's how I got the audio for this video. This video was shot on a smartphone but, of course, the audio was poor. They sent me the audio that they recorded from the microphones and I edited the time together.

Thanks for the reply, Kirk, and for explaining how that worked. I of course should have realized, from the very fact that your video exists ( !), that they had a way of getting the recordings to you. There were a few surprises in there, and the immediacy of the side-by-side comparison was actually more helpful than many longer, more complicated "A to B comparison" videos. Thanks again.
