As a UM fan, I’m genuinely jealous you get this man. The authenticity as a human and love for the game isn’t close. You guys have a phenomenal taking over 😢
I am a life long UM fan and we know what the Chargers now have. I don’t follow the NFL too closely except to root for UM players. Now I will also pull for the Chargers because of Coach Harbaugh. He is a quirky dude but is sincere about his mantra of faith, family, and football. Good luck to you this season and enjoy your new Harbaugh.
Dear Chargers fans, Michigan fan here, give this man patience. It'll come. Also you just got about half a million extra fans. We all want to see him win a ring. Enjoy the show, y'all are so lucky. Jim is one of the best humans on this earth, forget about football. As a human he's an absolute joy. Excited to see him build y'all up. Go Blue, Go Chargers. Go Jim
Michigan and Harbaugh fan here too. I agree. He often gets bashed by media, other coaches, and other programs. They love to talk about how quirky he is. However, Harbaugh is a genuinely good guy, a players coach, he knows what he is doing, and he is a proven winner. He also knows how to build a great coaching staff. Just give him a bit of time. Strength coach Ben Herbert is also amazing. Was sad to see both Harbaugh and Herbert go but I really do wish them well. I also think that your QB Justin Herbert is pretty darn great. As long as it's not against the Lions, I'll be cheering on the Chargers.
@CreamyPesto505 lt alone couldn't help us get to a superbowl. Same like Barry and the lions... talk to your fantasy qb rivers that made sure he got his bonuses and never make it to a sb.
My father was a die hard Lions fan. I wish he would have got to see this team they've built. I will definitely root for the Lions as long as they don't play the Bolts!
If I was an NFL player the two coaches I would love to be coached by and that the Harbaughs. Total legends to the sport and always give so much love to the players.
Derwin is a great safety but his biggest drawback the last couple years had been the dumb mistakes and penalties. I can see coach getting that corrected, making him second to none.
Jim should know. He finished high school in Palo Alto, he played for the (San Diego) Chargers, he coached at UCSD, Stanford, & the 49'ers! Though that was all back when he mistakenly thought chickens were a nervous animals. 🤭 Fyi: -San Francisco: 4 hens; 0 roosters -Oakland: 4 hens; 0 roosters -Berkeley: 6 hens; roosters ok, unless they become a noise nuisance -Los Angeles: 4 herbs; 1 rooster (space/distance requirements)
The fact that he left this job for another job and then was able to come back and greeted like this is awesome. I dont think I've ever seen this before.
Im not a Charger fan , but i am a die hard Michigan fan. I hate to see Coach leave for the NFL, but i understand. You all out in LaLa land got yourselves a real special Coach and human being. He'll build the Chargers from the Ol and DL out. In 3 years youll see what i mean.
It’s weird seeing Harbaugh gone. I started watching Michigan again when Harbaugh became the Michigan coach. It was unbearable watching Michigan with Rich Rod and Hoke. I never had a feeling they would turn the program around. With Harbaugh I always felt he would eventually win the big one. I didn’t think it would take 10 year. I kinda thought 5 years.
I remeber when people clowned this guy left and right ..now hes a national treasure ..guess all it took was doing what was expected. Chargers fans love him now, just as we did when he was hired as Michigans coach...but dont be so quick to turn like many in the media if he doesnt produce overnight. Things take time. Go Blue and Go Chargers.
When you have 2 guys (Jimmy Joe and G Ro) that are so totally comfortable in their own skin. So relaxed at being themselves. You get the sense that they are already writing the script for the season before it has even begun. Summer camp for the Chargers should be Class 3 Motorhomes down by the beach.
The similarities between Pete Carroll and Jim H. is actually uncanny... Both charismatic family men who had polarized opposites on offense and defense.
Damn, Harbaugh was in town. Would have liked to get his signature. I got my haircut yesterday at a shop he frequented. Bolt up! ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Harbaugh: California is the agriculture capital of the country. Chickens are allowed…and DJ is the man for sure!!!
That all changed in 2020, when he got chicks for his kids at Easter & wound up taking care of them and had fresh eggs all the time. He loves them now b/c they are "low maintenance, high production." 🐔💛💙
Always be grateful for what Harbaugh did in returning that M in Mich to Magnificent, esp after the irreparable damage Rodriguez/Hoke did to Mich. And I wish him the best at the Chargers & hope he wins it all. But...yes there's a but.....why leave after winning a natty at Mich when he could have owned ❌hio, mSU, the Big Ten & a run at the playoffs every year? Like Saban did at Alabama 🤷🏻♂️ At his age & style, there's no guarantee he can win a SB with prima donna millionaires as this is literally his last chance. No coach is off limits anymore to be fired & if he doesn't win the whole thing in LA. It would tear me up if he couldn't produce a SB winning team only to have his legacy on the line with the jeopardy of getting canned. But at Mich, it took him 6 tough years to finally change the culture & build that monster like he did. Why not guarantee your legacy & be the Nick Saban of the B1G by dominating the conf & making a run at the national championship every year. He would never ever get fired at Mich. And don't comment stupid things like 'they were gonna fire him in 2020". No they wouldn't have! It wasn't RR/Hoke bad & they knew with a new scheme, coordinators, culture that JH would turn it around, whereas once in a lifetime horrible coaches like RR/Hoke just are not capable of doing.
It's all changing this year! No more Pac-12 --> enlarged Big10 & Big12 w/ schools no longer close-by (increased travel time & cost). The CFP playoffs will have 12 schools competing this year. And w/ the unchecked NIL, even Nick Saban bounced! There was no guarantee that Coach Harbaugh would dominate the CFP in the future & the NCAA has a vendetta against him. That show cause penalty meant he could be fired & Michigan AD and lawyers couldn't find a way around it in his contract, which led to his leaving. He didn't want to harm the program over a bunch of BS.
