Not gonna lie, I do enjoy seeing the downfall of cocky/immature players, and then seeing them build themselves back up to the proper adults they should be. I hope he does well.
@@michaelmcmillan1425 That's dumb, man. Did you not see the Bowl game? The offense was wildly innovative and when executed it was brilliant! And that was with the third and fourth string QBs and without the top running back! A coach is only as good as his players and Satterfield had to play 4 QBs last season one of whom was a grad assistant and the other a converted WR. So maybe judge him by this season when the cupboard is stacked with more talent, but they are still going up against SEC defenses all season remember.
@@saintsataniko2116 What you're saying is great in "THEORY" My question is why didn't Satterfield open up the Offense earlier in the season??? I mean he waits until a "Meaningless" Bowl game to gamble??? That made zero sense?!?!? All I'm saying is that the Jury is still out on Beamer, and Satterfield. With Rattler at QB. (Whose a Top Notch Talent) He has no excuses anymore! He was just given a "PASS" because of those "LUCKY" wins they had against East Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Auburn. NOBODY on the Defensive end were able to Scout Zeb Noland, and Jason Brown. But Rattler is their number 1 guy now! (Lots of FLUKISH Wins last year) So now we'll see what Satterfield, and Beamer are really about now. No more Excuses!!!
@@michaelmcmillan1425 you have to remember what the qb situation was man. Don’t jump on the hate train when the OC didn’t have the talent necessary. We’re here now and looking good. Be a good fan not a bad fan. Spurs up
@@harrisonroberts9843 All I'm saying Mr. Roberts is that Satterfield has no more Excuses now!!! He has Rattler. And has been given ALL of the Resoursces possible! Now he Needs to prove himself as a OC!!! All you gotta look at is the South Carolina Offensive Stats last year! No different than Kingston, and the Flailing Gamecock Baseball program. FACTS!
I think Lincoln screwed him. They were undefeated with Spencer, had multiple comebacks this past season with him, and then Caleb comes in, no matter how "electrifying" he was.. they finished with 2 losses that were because of Caleb. Makes you think how that season would've went if they stayed with Spencer.. most likely would've won out. but I am convinced as soon as Lincoln knew he was leaving, he was looking for an opportunity to throw Caleb out there to see what he could do, so he would know whether or not he should get him to come with him to USC or not. Spencers benching was of no consequence to Lincoln, he probably figured "has 2 years of eligibility left.. if he gets benched this year he can regain his reputation elsewhere."
You are living in a fantasy world dude, he has absolutely no one around to help him out the Gamecocks will go 6 and 6 or at best 7 and 5 Rattler came to Columbia because no body wanted him, I think he is above average QB...
As a Sooner fan I couldn’t be more happy seeing Spencer get some love and be welcomed by South Carolina. Y’all got a good one he just didn’t work out for us. Wish y’all the best
What do you mean didn't work out? He worked out great and was the reason they were even contending for the big12 championship. The coach screwed the pooch benching him for Caleb who is nowhere near as good and ended up leaving anyway. Just horrible management. If that benching doesn't happen, I have no doubt OU plays in the conference championship.
@@MrJaybeezy123 you sure you watched the same games? He was horrible and that's putting it mildly. Keep him in and TX was a loss, Iowa St, KU, OSU and Baylor too. That's the truth.
@@royals1833 what's horrible? By Texas he'd only thrown 4 picks and that was Rileys reasoning for benching him. Not even all of them were his fault. In the same amount of games, Caleb threw 4 picks and actually lost. Spencer hadn't lost a game. OU had their first QB in a long while making all freshmans, awards, team records and a projected #1 draft pick and benched him over 1 interception and toxic ass fans in the crowd. Who they should've been chanting to get benched was the whole damn defense or Riley himself. You just can't say Spencer would've lost those games because there's no basis for it. It'd actually be illogical considering how he played against them the year prior. OU fans that supported this deserve everything this team brings out now and now Riley and Caleb are GONE leaving OU in the dust, and so is Spencer. Now it'll be another half decade + before OU is relevant again.
As a sooner fan! Who always loved spencer stog and Beamer!!! Im so happy he is away from the toxic situation he was in. As is sooner nation! I can honestly tell you that we are happy as hell for The Real S.C. !!!!! You have a fan n me!
You can just see the fan base man no matter how bad we are through the past 5 years now is the time everyone has came together and make rattler feel at home he’s gonna be a game changer for us this season all I can say is watch out SEC!
Looking forward to watching Spencer do big things this year! It seems like South Carolina fans have really embraced him. Gonna miss him but hope he does great!
To be fair, he's been a team player all along. There was a narrative floating around that he wasn't a good team guy and a problem in the locker room. None of that was true.
@@Benjiiiiiiii13 Your anecdotal evidence doesn't change what numerous players have said. There have always been student athletes that weren't nice people on campus, that's not the same as being a problem in the locker room.
Completely changed my opinion of him. Born a Texas Longhorn and just graduated from Texas A&M so clearly I hated everything about OU and Rattler. Look forward to seeing how he does in the SEC. This video is dope and he seems like a great guy with a competitive fire.
Lucky for him he has 3 years to get to prove he’s ready for the NFL I think now that the ego is in check and the pressure is off of him he can get back to the basics and truly ball tf out!!!
@@Stupidbihh lmao he has 3 years of eligibility left Covid gave him an extra year and he already had 2 that’s 3 smart one please don’t get on here with the disrespectful woofin that’s childish af
Man no doubt we have the energy right now. No matter if all the other sec teams and fans want to admit it, The University of South Carolina is back, I think beam will surpass the ol’ ball coach in his venture. Like you keep seeing, something special is brewing in Columbia, SC 🤙🏼
Sooner fan here. I think. LR is overrated. I think LR set him up for failure and then threw him under the bus. I think Rattler took it in stride and showed his composure through the process. He seems like he has grown alot. I hope he has a great year! Good luck young man!
@@jdizlle09 Maybe. But Caleb Williams stepped right in for the Sooners, and did an Excellent job. The Trojans were ONLY 4-8 last year. I expect So-Cal to Win at Least 9 games this year. And Rattler's biggest issue with be the OC, Satterfield. He was HORRIBLE!!! Just look at their Offensive Stats. He's definitely gonna step up his play calling this year.
@@TreyChapo Don't know how he's gonna turn out, but I see your point. He did get EXPOSED early in the Season last year. (Remember them being down by 14 against Tulsa, not mention 24 against Texas in the Red River Shootout) That's why Caleb Williams took his job, and NEVER looked back! (Expect Southern Cal to Win at Least 9 games with him, and Lincoln Riley this year) I hope Rattler makes it, but there's definitely a cause for concern. Especially with Carolina's GARBAGE OC Satterfield! His play calling is TRASH!!! SMH. This guy may end up doing Spencer more Harm, than good! We'll see what happens.
You're missing the point! It all goes back to Satterfield! If he keeps making these HORRIBLE Offensive calls, it's gonna make Rattler look BAD. THEY need to let Spencer call the plays.
@Brawley Niels HONESTLY, I really hope things work out for him! Like you said, he seemed Humbled, after the whole Calab Williams situation. But like I keep saying. At this point, the issue ain't Spencer Rattler. It's Marcus Satterfield! (Our current Offensive Coordinator) He NEEDS to step his game up! Especially regarding his play calling. If he can't do that, he's DO
@@IamDevron How does that sound CRAZY??? Did you watch South Carolina Football last year??? Especially with Satterfield as the OC??? Just please check out the Stats Sir. He was pure "TRASH!!!" I want the Gamecocks to step it up! But Satterfield NEEDS to do a better job of calling plays. FACTS!
If anything I've learned from rattler coming to the gamecocks....is that Sooner fans are alright! Multiple videos ive watched, and all I see from Sooner fans in each videos comment section is well wishes and hopefulness for Spencer in this upcoming season! Clemscum fans don't even have a reason to be watching these videos, yet they'll show up every time! Half of them are more fans of hating south carolina then they are for Clemson
Ok, let's see if he lives up to the hype. He's going to see elite defenses in the SEC. Don't underestimate top SEC defensive coordinators going to show his weakness and don't forget about the elite defense upstate.
Only thing holding Specer back is himself. It's nothing wrong with being confident every QB is but to have a bad attitude that's concerning. I think this experience will teach him for all positive reasons. ##GoBucks
Suspended for conduct in high school (didn't finish senior season). Benched at OSU after being in the Heisman discussion (didn't finish last season). There's more than just football going on with him. He's down to his last shot to avoid getting labeled as trouble and going nowhere.
I really hope that spencer learned something from his time in Oklahoma. In high school and in college Spencer has always been a little too high and mighty to the point where his teammates don’t like him. I really do hope that by losing the job at Oklahoma he got humbled and is now a better man. If he’s changed, then I’m rooting for him.
@@zacharybarker909 Pump the brakes Bro. This could end up being an UGLY year for South Carolina. Especially on Offense. Satterfield was a HORRIBLE OC last year!!! Hopefully he'll let Rattler call the plays. Because if he doesn't, this will be a Long Season for the Gamecocks. Just look at their schedule Bro! It doesn't look good.
@@zacharybarker909 Now you're making Sense Zak. Cooper Kupp is a "LEGEND" now!!! A Man whose broken ALL the Odds!!! Major Props to Coop! Because I saw his potential playing with Jared Goff. (Who I still RESPECT) But Stafford brought him to another level!!! (Especially considering losing Robert Woods early in the Season due to injury. Coop is about to get PAID!!! He, and the Homie Debbo Samuel deserve Major $$$!!!
NGL I feel bad for him. He would have gone in the first round this year if he had a decent season. Hopefully, he'll still be a top pick, but next draft will be loaded with QB talent
Spencer coming back for year 4 might be the best thing that ever happened to him. Like we saw with Justin Herbert, he was projected 1st Rd, but going back, that extra year to develop, I am convinced it made all the difference in his development and capability to read the game. Same thing with Kenny Picket. although, we havent seen how he turns out.. that extra year usually ends up doing wonders for those who stay and might not have otherwise been ready for the pressure of the NFL with their skills not as sharp as they would have been if they came out a year earlier.
