look up "Spencer Rattler in High School being a bad teammate" explains it all. Even if we didn't have a quaterback I wouldn't want him on my team.

Spencer thinks he is the best when he is not, he doesn't take responsibility for what he does wrong but blames others. He just isn't a team player.

Life can change on a dime folks. I hope this experience humbles the young man and he bounces back next year with a different team.

Its hard to stay humble when all you hear is how great you are since childhood. I'd be curious to see who will take him. And, at what round.

This guy suffers from the same issues as Tate Martell. He has raw talent, but he bought his own hype and let his ego get into his way. He let off the field stuff become a problem, he gave the impression that he placed the blame for failures on his team rather than taking accountability and showed poor leadership qualities, and he seemed to regress rather than progress (seemingly due to feeling like he had already arrived and didn't need to work for it).

I think he reads his own headlines. He has all the talent in the world, but I think he’s always looking to the next level, instead of finishing the job where he’s at.

Ego was his downfall, he can still bounce back.

If you guys remember there was a show on Netflix called. QB1, when I watched that show rattler was a QB they followed in high school. His arrogance and vibes then was ridiculous. He got what he puts out there.

Tbh no motivation like this, if his character is strong this will help him more then all the success and love and praise he’s been receiving. Who can say what the end of a man is, even Tom Brady shared snaps in his last year of college went in the final round and became the best ever. So hopefully he finds his success 🤷🏾

My huge problem with Spencer is after the win over Texas, he didn't celebrate with his teammates. He is a captain and show have support them instead of walking away.

I have been a season-ticket holder at OU football games for 20 years. I've never heard about this rattlesnake party that is shown in this video. As for the booing coming from the fans, it seemingly was only coming from the student section. The OU student section is usually nearly empty by halftime. I haven't been to a lot of away games, but I'm willing to bet that OU has one of the sorriest student fan base of all college football. At the last home game Spencer Rattler got some game time. When Rattler threw a deep bomb to the end zone for a touchdown, he got a nice standing ovation from the entire stadium. The student section even began chanting "Spencer Rattle, Spencer Rattler". Anyhow pretty cool video, keep up the good.

Almost all quarterbacks have ego, seems to come with the position, but Rattler's is off the charts and that is part of his problem. He thinks all the success is due to him and none of the failure is his fault, treats his teammates terribly, and refuses to learn. I wish him well, but I'm not optimistic about his football future.

As a kstate fan watching the game this year, while it is true that he had a good game, he made many mistakes that day. He had a bad interception that kstate failed to capitalize on. I see now why Caleb Williams is the starter now after watching them in Manhattan

The kids been an average at best QB who was overhyped by his families money underlying it. He isn't a scrub but has been found out by not being able to back up the hype with his play. I don't see why it's a tradegy for him to be brought down a peg at last and finding out that adult life is hard at times

He was never mentally ready for big time. He was benched once and bounced back because the players behind him didn't match what he could bring to the table. This time the QB talent behind him was too good to ignore.

I do think that Spencer Rattler is slightly overrated as a QB, especially with the way Caleb Williams burst onto the scene and is playing phenomenal, but he isn't a bust. He might just need to transfer to a school where he can rebuild his draft stock and become more humble in the process because it's clear that he thought he couldn't be brought down to Earth.

I wish Ohio state did this. Look how many times we had great quarterbacks sit the bench while we had a bum on the field. Like JT Barrett for instance. I hated him and he couldn’t go nowhere yet they wouldn’t bench him and play Joe Burrow. Joe had to transfer to be able to play and he shined. Look back to 2015 when our 3rd string quarterback won the national championship. We wouldn’t have won that year if JT Barrett didn’t get hurt. More schools should do this. I respect Oklahoma for this.

Great video, Mike. I think these "analysts" in their echo chamber just heard other people saying Rattler was playing well, so they all just assumed that and went along with it. When you're scouting a successful NFL QB, you're looking for someone with numbers that you wouldn't see in the NFL (Ex: 400+ passing yards per game, + rushing TDs). This is because the productivity is going to be halved at the NFL level. You could easily see someone like Joe Burrow (who threw 60 TDs his senior season) easily being able to translate that success to roughly 30-40 TDs at the NFL level rather quickly, which is why he was a #1 OVR pick. You're looking for players that dominate at the college level to have a chance of playing right away at the NFL level. Spencer Rattler has never dominated in ANY college game he has ever played, and the hype has been exactly that. Hype. Caleb Williams as a true freshman has been more successful in the limited practice and playing time he's had which speaks VOLUMES to the player Spencer is. NFL defenses would hold Spencer right now to roughly 150 passing yards and a negative TD-INT ratio at roughly 1-3. And if he keeps chasing the fame more than school and his game, Spencer isn't even going to have the opportunity to play at the NFL level.
