Over the winter we had some mice attempt to begin a next in our NSX's trunk! Today we take steps to secure our boot against critter incursions. Join us as we use some butyl tape and door screen to try and prevent future rodent nesting attempts.

That drain tube is for the power antenna motor drain line. Any moisture that gets into the part of the antenna where the geared plastic "cable" winds up - after "dripping" off the antenna itself from being extended in the rain and subsequently retracted - drains out that hole via a small clear tube from the power antenna. You can just plug it as it is NOT there to "drain the trunk" as you would need gallons of water in the trunk for that drain to actually start draining anything.

@@stevenglover4183 Thanks! Encyclopedic as always! I'd forgotten about the antenna drain as it's been a baker's dozen years since I removed that assembly. I'll just go grab a plug in that case. I'd seed the removable drain plug under the tool tray for if you needed to actually drain the trunk so figured I was missing a detail.

I found some mouse droppings around Carmen, so I put out glue traps. I think I got all the buggers before they made their way into the car...

My NSX usually hybrenates for 6-7 months of the year due to our Canadian winters and I have had squirels make small nests in the trunk twice before I caught them. I simply taped that rubber hatch shut using some Gorilla Tape. It's been a couple of years and, so far, no nests.

I assume no ill effects from blocking the flap? Trunk not harder to shut or anything?
