100% an abuser. The anger on his face, the realisation, the damage control and overcompensation afterwards. The fear on her face and sadness afterwards. Ive always thought there was something sinister about this awful man. Now we know.

Therapy just makes abusers better at manipulating. Therapy should never be even brought up in DV situations. The victims need to get out asap and they need actual community and help. Not therapy. Therapists don't do anything but make these situations worse more than half the time.

The clip feels off. She seems very startled when it happens and he comes across quite aggressive for a split second before catching himself. Obviously there’s no way of knowing whether this was just an uncomfortable moment caught on camera or a glimpse into an abusive marriage, but it does look a bit concerning.

Wrong.yes there is. People who are not agresivne never behave that way-end of story. Most things are easy to figure out in life if you ask yourself the right questions. A public persona who is used to being in front of the camera should be able to control every single reaction they might have. Regular people just don't have this sort of reaction to anything. In an abusive relationship, the longest phase is the "Denial". The constant self comforting telling yourself " No, that is not abusive" is the hardest part to escape. We make up excuses by excuses to normalize what is not normal. Because we know for sure we love our significant other & would do anything to not hurt their feelings. Imagining our love one as the Devil is such a nightmare. That is why we defends our abuser. Every DV survivor would understand.
@triplejazzmusicisall1883
@triplejazzmusicisall1883 2 года назад
What you say is true about DV but it doesn't make it necessarily true that this is evidently happening here. DV is abhorrent but we need to be careful not to assume everything we see as abuse or in fact denial. It is easy to misinterpret the relations of others too. I don't believe it is fair to equate 'elbowing' with physical abuse. If we are going to broaden the definition to that extent then probably 95% of the population are guilty. It is like being able to different an argument from verbal abuse - they are not one and the same.

We all tend to judge other people's relationships through the lense of our own. It's just human nature. However, not every relationship is the same. I have met Michael on several occasions and actually had the opportunity to spend a little time with him and Emily Blunt. In my experience, he is an extremely playful person. He jokes and goofs around all the time. My impression of this situation is that he was playing around (possibly a little rougher than the intended) and that the movement maybe startled her a bit. I think she immediately recognized it as a joke and they moved on. I feel like she may have just apologized, as most of us do when we have talked over someone. I have had similar situations (in both directions) with my own husband, to whom I have been happily married for close to 30 years.

@@biaiaover She didn't talk over him: he said hi and when she did the same he got mad and elbowed her. He has that annoying habit of presenting her, like if she didn't know how to present herself (it would be annoying by itself if they were just streaming for his fans, but it was for both his and her fans, so not "main actor" and "secundary actor"). He said hi and she has the same right! Many people who doesn't understand Spanish say that she's always interrupting him because they don't understand that she needs to translate what he says in order for her fans to understand, because the majority of argentinians don't speak English and she needs to translate for him when he wants to say something in Spanish because in almost 10 years of marriage he didn't know how to speak in a proper Spanish and he wanted her to translate everything. How do you translate if it isn't immediately? How are you supposed to translate 20 phrases in a row? You lose half in the way! If he never bothered to learn properly her wife's language he needs to learn to be "interrupted"! Besides that, anytime she said something added to what he was saying he got mad! She isn't just a translator! People shouldn't comment if they don't understand the two languages; I do and I can assure you it's strange! And the fact that she gets mad when people are just concerned for her, shows that she wants to cover something. The fact that he didn't defend himself shows that he knows it's true.

It's too bad that his wife cannot be honest about what happened. Whether Michael has a pattern of abuse or not, what he did to her was abuse her in that moment. Her hiding the truth makes it seem that she is a victim and and denying she was abused only perpetuates the reality that she is being abused. Eventually the truth will come out.

Patrick M you are actually engaging in abuse by labelling Luisiana , putting your own judgement as the ultimate truth whilst stating she is wrong in her interpretation - of her own loving husband. @@triplejazzmusicisall1883 if I am being abusive which I am not, then so are you for defending his behavior and his wife's comments about it. Do some research about how some abused wives will defend their husbands abusive behavior. I'm entitled to my opinion based on what I can clearly see in the video and how Michael immediately reacted to what he did. Are you married? Perhaps you think what he did would be okay for you to do to your wife but has others stated, I would never do this to my wife and if I did, it would be an abusive gesture. I have been married for almost 37 years and I have never done this to my wife. Perhaps it was one big mistake on his part but as I stated in my previous comment, it was abusive to elbow her like that. I did not say Michael was an abusive person and is abusing his wife all of the time. I don't know about their personal lives just as you do not know how loving Michael is to her.

@@PatrickMcCleary I accept that i should not have said you were being abusive. Yes I am married and have never even raised my voice, let alone being physically violent. I again apologise for my comment. Please can you consider my thoughts though. Obviously and fairly enough you were annoyed by my labelling of you however I feel everyone is doing that to Michael. I have done a two year university course of abusive behaviours and patterns. Some are very obvious displays of DV, others are blurry so other factors need to be examined. Again I regret and apologise with honest sincerity for my comment. If I am to complain about others labelling Michale Buble then I should be mature and fair enough not to do the same. I thought your comment was unfair but you are entitled to your view. As a white woman, this runs in my family too. Most of the women in my family end up with abusive men and enable them and allow them to abuse their children all for the sake of love and loyalty to men who are animals. It's beyond the word heartbreaking. This is an epidemic for women everywhere given that we live in a patriarchal world... not just in the Americas but literally everywhere since the beginning of humanity.

Hey folks! Samantha using the word "aura" does not necessarily refer to Buble's etheric, metaphysical aura. It can also refer to an overall impression given by one person to another, e.g. "an aura of contentment", "a charismatic aura", "an aura of uncertainty", etc.
@sheila6186
@sheila6186 4 года назад
Oh, and FTW, I personally have managed to 'read'/sense many people's auras, in the sense that I could accurately interpret their intent and what-not, multiple times in my life. I'm just a very ordinary person living a frighteningly ordinary life, but I have been able to steer myself, friends and family away from sinister, shady and threatening situations quite a few times over the years. Picking up on people's 'auras' (their intent, their character) buys you time and gives you a headstart in getting yourself and/or others away from bad people. When I was 6 years old, I remember a friend of my father's inviting myself and my siblings to come over to his home to play with his own kids. This man asked my parents if we could visit there. My father had no problem with it at all, whereas my mother didn't want us to go there with him at all. I felt relieved that my mother was against the idea because I definitely didn't want to go over there and felt upset at the prospect of doing so. My father's friend was friendly enough, but I just felt like there was something very 'off' or creepy about him at the time. Well, long story short, it transpired some years later that this friend of my father's had been beating his wife (who eventually ran away, leaving the kids behind), beating and neglecting his young sons and daughters, and had impregnated one of the daughters when she was 17 years old. That poor daughter was in my sister's year at school at that time, and her horrendous pregnancy situation was what finally alerted the authorities to everything that had been going on. No-one had ever suspected that something of that grim magnitude had been occurring, but there were subtle signs via this man's demeanour and how my mother noticed that the man's kids were always ravenous and ate everything in sight whenever they were at our own home (we now know they were barely being fed at their own home). Anyway, that sad excuse for a man was apparently determined to be clinically insane and was placed in a psychiatric hospital indefinitely.

In the April 6th live video of them making oatmeal cookies while praising her as a wife, in the list of things he put "wife, mother" last and when talking about singing to the children, he said "my" boys not "our" boys. That time they took to film was the honeymoon phase of an abusive relationship "I love you, you're amazing, I love you TODAY", yet every time he feels like she interupts him (even though he rambles on a lot and gives her no pause to translate or add on to whatever he is saying) he pushes her with his body, bumping into her, or grabbing her shoulders and neck. If he doesn't punish her physically, his own body language is seething and she watches him constantly when he gets quiet. His body language is angry, and hers is fearful and nervous, while both trying to act like everything is SO happy. If you watch that video muted the body language shows this, if you listen to his words especially, they speak to his inner state of mind. Angry, aggressive, emotional, fearful, violent images.

She has a career of her own, a loving supportive family who will be there for her if she decides to leave one day. Enough money 💰 to get a good lawyer and support herself & children if she leaves. She has more than most woman have living in that situation. Luisanna has a covering and a tribe of ppl to protect her should she ever decide ENOUGH IS Enough!

What Luisiana has to say: "We get together every day with my husband to stream live and bring a bit of joy, entertainment and hope, and we have to deal with hearing and seeing from ill-intentioned people who come out saying things about our family without knowing anything about us. “After all the pain that we have experienced, I want you all to know that I have no doubts about who my husband is and that I would chose [sic] him again a thousand times over!” she wrote. “It’s not fair! This person is causing harm and taking advantage of this pandemic where people are suffering, dying and under quarantine, to gain fame and followers,” her statement continued, adding: “They are sharing lies and that I will not allow because they are disrespecting my family, so I ask all of you who have trusted me for years to not allow this either! “I leave the consequences up to God now, with no need to add more and doing what I think is right when someone messes with my family,” she wrote. “The world needs love, hope, morals, unity and solidarity now more than ever. NOT those types of people."

This is what happens when you show so much of your relationship to others. I’m not saying that he shouldn’t, but it just shows the weirdly uncomfortable moments that each couple has. I have seen many videos and interviews of Michael and he’s a very nice fellow, but just a tad bit over zealous. He always has been. While that moment may have been a bit uncomfortable, I don’t think it shows abuse. We are talking about the same man who almost gave up his career for his son who had cancer. Everyone around them know that they are a happy and loving couple. Maybe if they weren’t live on Instagram, Luisana would have reacted another way, nudging him back or doing something else playfully, but decided not to, to seem decent in front of everyone. Of course, I wouldn’t call this a very happy moment, but every relationship has eccentricities and unusual things in either one of them. I think we shouldn’t look too closely into this.

Thank you for being brave enough to call it out for probably exactly what it is. I don't care for everyone jumping on a bandwagon of harsh judgement as if they are part of the marriage. No person has insight into a couples relationship unless they are part of the family a close friend or even yes a counsellor. At worse Michael displayed an inappropriate sign of being possessive. That does not necessarily equate to abuse but rather maybe more a case of excessive ego. . People should butt out if as I say they are not family, friends or professionals. For all those calling Buble an abuser on this alone need to be careful they're not guilty of throwing stones and also if this few seconds of what generally appears to be some OTT banter is prove of abuse then I know a hell of a lot of women who are guilty of abusing their husband. But guess what they're not. Just like kids throwing snowballs at each other, this may well be a case of banter not abuse. The other reason why people need to tread with some caution before throwing about very strong labels is that it can be distressing to those who are actually in an abusive relationship. We have experts in this field and we have courts of law that make decisions. That is more important than casual viewers jumping the gun almost with a zeal to judge harshly without any pother knowledge beyond a few seconds of footage. Heisenbulge I fully endorse your comments above...very relationship has eccentricities and unusual things in either one of them. I think we shouldn’t look too closely into this. Over examining can be like overthinking and overthinking can lead to serious misjudgements. Please leave (from what appears across dozens of other free to air videos) to be a very loving and happy couple whom adore their children.

Am I the only one who thinks people are overreacting? It didn't seem like an "elbow in the side". I don't think that people should be so prejudiced because some people all of a sudden think he is aggressive. A lot of people who have met him (celebrities) have said that he is really nice n of course that doesn't have to mean anything in this case but I think people are taking this too far. Calling him abusive because of a nudge like this? If your mom hits you in the head to tell you to shut up it's not abuse but this is? I'm confused. I'm not disparaging anyone who has come in contact with domestic violence. This is a serious issue that sadly a lot of people have to deal with (male and female). I can't judge this objectively because I don't know either one of them personally but neither can all of these people claiming he's abusive

Ok, I ain’t gonna jump on the bandwagon and called Michael Buble a “wife-beater” because I don’t know the guy other than I know he’s a good singer. I can only go by what I saw and of personal experience. What I saw, regarding the “incident”, I didn’t feel comfortable witnessing it and I found it unexpectedly aggressive and I’d watched it once and don’t want to watch it again. I’ve seen people within my own family behave like that and it isn’t nice. That caveman behaviour belongs to a time where men thought their wives were their personal property, so I’m not cool with that. How can someone be so aggressive and then have the audacity to pull the person, (so forcibly) closer to them in a “loving embrace”? The most telling was the poor woman’s reaction, she’d looked worried and confused, it was her eyes, as if she’s been in that position so many time before, but this time in the public arena, (this was a live recording, right? And the way he’d talked over her, as if what he had to say was more important, very Piers Morgan and I don’t like it. This video has really bothered me, and the fact that the poor woman is so eager to defend her husband, it’s not a good sign, especially as she’s not actually addressing that aggressive elbowing. His behaviour isn’t acceptable, and maybe people would have believed her defence of husband had, for example said that the elbowing was part of a sketch or something, but not once did she mention his obvious aggression, which does raise serious questions about what’s going on. I do wish I didn’t watch that clip as horrible memories from my past are doing my head in, but it shows how watching that awful clip of Michael Buble elbowing his wife can trigger other people’s emotions/feelings of a traumatic event in their lives, and that’s not cool

The problem is people have eyes and you cannot un-see the elbowing. I'm tired of women who enable their husband's bad behaviour, we're no longer in the 1950's. I wish Luisana would stop saying how wonderful her husband is. Could you imagine Prince William treating Kate Middleton like that? The Bubles' should stop showing photos of their kids, that won't help. If Michael doesn't want people to see how abusive he is, don't get in front of the camera with your wife. Problem solved. I wonder if people will buy his albums and concert tickets now?

Abuse in the 50s was beatings and black eyes. Abuse now is literally ribbing? No wonder no one's getting married or having kids, they live in sterile bubbles. I bet you watch The Bachelor too - perfectly normal for 30 women to prostitute themselves for one man. This generation's upsidedown.
@bluebellrose8
@bluebellrose8 4 года назад
@@lenadahling No, I don't watch the Bachelor. Abuse can come in many forms apart from physical. The birth rate is falling in many developed nations as women get more educated and have more options which I think is a good thing. Getting married and having a pile of kids isn't that appealing anymore. Most people want to travel and have fun. Who can afford to buy a house anyway?
@lenadahling
@lenadahling 4 года назад
@@bluebellrose8 Are you a psychologist? Or are you just one of those people who yells child abuse when a father bathes his children? He was half-smiling, and she looked annoyed, but it's immature, not abusive. They need better boundaries and communication, not an escape plan. Oh good, so you think half the population is useless, and solo fun is more important than connection, and caring for another human being. Forced celibacy, sterility, and poverty are not having more options. Society is falling apart.

Many people are arguing about IF she is being abused or not. But hello: this IS abusive behaviour! It is not normal, sweet behaviour when you give your wife, the person you love, an elbow when she starts stalking in a video at the same time as you. And the arm around her is over compensation. It is normal to laugh and say: honey, do you want to start all shall I? That is normal real carrying behaviour between a husband and wife. If you do not agree on that, then I feel a bit sorry for you. Seems to me that you used to missing real love too.
