I saw Michael Che at The Stress Factory in New Brunswick, NJ several years ago. After only seeing him on Saturday Night Live, I wasn't sure what to expect from his stand up act, but I was blown away. He's legit funny! His stand up is actually way funnier than the writing on SNL.

He's not talking about Michael K Williams. Fuquan Johnson died from a suspected cocaine overdose along with 2 others about a week and a half ago. It was probably laced with fentanyl. Kate Quigley was also there but she's recovering.

I've seen Michael che in person and he was the second funniest stand up I've seen in person behind only dave chappelle. Michael che is amazing. Also he is a head writer on SNL.

He's the Co Head Writer of Saturday Night Live along with Colin Jost. At Christmas they read out cold jokes that the other wrote. Hilarious. His name is pronounced CHAY with a hard CH like in Charlie. He's still alive as of today. If he had an OD recently, it hasn't been reported in the US. Thanks for the reaction.

An actor named Michael (K Williams) from the Wire and a former Weekend Update Host from Saturday Night Live (Norm MacDonald) both dies in the last week, so maybe those two things blurred together to get you to Michael Che? Thankfully, he's still alive. Sadly, the other two will be missed. Norm's standup or SNL clips would make a good timely reaction, btw.

He's not talking about Michael K Williams. Comedian Fuquan Johnson died from a suspected cocaine overdose along with another comedian, whose name escapes me right now, about a week and a half ago. Kate Quigley, also a comedian, was there but she survived and is recovering in hospital.

@@tubiviral9093 Dave more than likely SAW and heard about Michael K but FORGOT his last name is Williams. He MIXED Michael K with Michael Che because "K and Che" rhyme. You'll notice once he SAW Michael Che, he went to his phone and said, "I wonder if he's the guy who overdosed?" He REMEMBERED seeing Michael K and recalled he was Black. When Michael CHE came on screen, Dave confused one performer from the other because they're both Black and their names rhyme: again K & Che.

He said he heard about **comedians** (plural) overdosing on bad cocaine on a podcast and is googling "American Stand up Comics". That's literally the story from a over a week ago of comedians Fuquan Johnson, Enrico Colangeli and Kate Quigley, although she managed to survive. Michael K Williams is not a comedian and was alone when he overdosed. And I highly doubt you're first going to hear about his death, which was trending worldwide news for several days including here in England, on the comedy podcasts Dave always talks about listening to.

Michael Che is the head writer and does the fake news part of the show (Weekend Update) with Colin Jost (who married Scarlett Johansson). This is what I found on the overdose incident Dave mentioned: Fentanyl-laced cocaine killed a comedian (Fuquan Johnson) and two others, and left the ex-girlfriend of Darius Rucker (Kate Quigley) in a Los Angeles hospital, a report said. Incident occurred Sep 3, 2020. *Fentanyl, a synthetic painkiller (100X more potent than heroin) has been a factor in the deaths of Prince, Mac Miller and Tom Petty.

Not a comedian, he was a very prestigious actor , Michael K Williams. In several HBO series, but most famously known for his role as omar in the wire. He was also known as an amazing choreographer at the start of his career.
