Back in the day, when Johnny Carson was the King of late night, he had Zsa Zsa Gabor on one night. When she came out onto the set, she was carrying a rather large house cat. She sat down next to Johnny, with the cat on her lap. The interview began while she kept petting the cat. At a point, she asked Johnny "Would you like to pet my pussy"? If you're familiar with Johnny, you know the incredible shocked face he always made, when someone left him speechless. After the audience calmed down, there was a very short period of silence. Then Johnny said "I'd love to, if you'd just get rid of that damn cat"!

Ferguson was the greatest. Charming, funny, self deprecating, actually loved America, and never preached to you. The jokes were all that mattered. You will not find better "interviews" with celebrities than Ferguson, most especially the females.

"History" = the last decade or so. Some real recency bias here. I assume the writer of this video was not old enough to watch uncomfortable moments from some of the classic talk shows. There are some real doozies. Much worse than what we see here.
